Operation Warp Speed was the creation of the Trump Administration. Joe Biden and the Democrat Pary rejected the plan initially and refused to get vaccinated if they came from Trump’s plan. In fact, they are on the record as saying they will be unsafe and that they wouldn’t trust anything coming from Trump. Biden had a different tune on the program from his perch now in the Oval Office and began to take full credit for the program. Now fast forward to current day, and with all the vaccine deaths and injuries, who is taking credit for the vaccine rollout and program in today’s world? Does Trump need to come out and opine on the program with the latest up-to-date information? Looking back in time, and to put the conversation in context, read these two reports:
100M people might have died without Operation Warp Speed: screamed the headline in the New York Post on August 9, 2021.
Former President Donald Trump said that if not for his COVID-19 vaccine effort, Operation Warp Speed, 100 million people might have died from the bug, saying he’s “very proud” of his efforts to get Americans jabbed. Trump’s administration purchased 200 million doses of Pfizer’s vaccine and 200 million doses of the Moderna shot. But Trump also said he doesn’t favor mandatory COVID-19 jabs. “I really believe in somebody’s choice, somebody’s freedom,” said the former president. “I’m a big fan of our freedoms, and people have to make that choice for themselves.”
Getting the facts right on Operation Warp Speed: reads the headline in The Hill on March 20, 2021.
The June 6, 2020 issue of the medical journal Lancet opined that “on average, it takes ten years to develop a vaccine. With the COVID-19 crisis looming, everyone hopes that this time will be different. Although many infectious disease experts argue … even 18 months for a first vaccine is an incredibly aggressive schedule.” The federal government’s top COVID advisor, Dr. Anthony Fauci, joined the skeptics: In February 2020 and again in April 2020, he predicted that a year to a year and a half would be required for vaccine approval — versus the half-year that was actually required.
