It was three years in the making with twists and turns and propaganda, but in the end, justice did prevail. The actor Jussie Smollett was proven to be the fraud he is. Guilty was his verdict on five of six charges that he staged a hate crime against himself in Chicago. However, it almost didn’t happen, especially after Tina Tchen, an attorney and former chief of staff to Michelle Obama, and acting on her behalf, stepped in and seemingly got Chicago Prosecutor Kim Fox to make the original case that he lied about a hate crime go away. This cleared the stage for the self-absorbed actor to stand on his soapbox and further his lie that former President Trump supporters wearing MAGA hats had attacked him during the wee hours of a cold winter night in the Windy City. Smollett had even managed to convince the liberal media and politicians, like then-presidential candidate Joe Biden and his running mate, Kamala Harris, that he was a victim (not a heavy lift). He would have pulled the hoax off had it not been for David K. Webb, a relentless special prosecutor. Webb reviewed the lengthy investigation by the Chicago Police Department that concluded Smollett had lied about being attacked. He was successful in getting a Chicago court to reopen Fox’s shoddy investigation, which led to the trial and conviction of Smollett.
Now that the actor has been found guilty, the liberal media, who had previously reported his innocence, have conveniently ignored the guilty verdict. They haven’t even thought to ask why was a former first lady involved in an active investigation, tantamount to obstruction of justice? Here on After Dark, we want to know why Michelle Obama took an interest in the case when all the evidence showed that the actor was his own attacker?
