Mike Pence told donors a few days ago that, “There is no room in this party for apologists for Putin. There is only room for champions of freedom.” While Pence is correct, I cannot for the life of me think of a Republican who has, or does, support or apologize for Vladimir Putin.

I have heard Republicans say that Putin is smart, that he is shrewd, and that he is taking advantage of Biden’s weakness on the world stage. I’ve said all that myself, but I said it in an article where I called for American air power to shoot down Russian jets, and to bomb Russian troops in Ukraine. Far from supporting Putin, I want us to fight him.

More to the point, to predict an opponent, we have to understand that opponent, and in the case of Vladimir Putin, there are two things he is absolutely willing to die for. One is power. Putin would not give his life for more power, as a dead man has none, but he has repeatedly taken calculated risks to seek and defend his base of power.

The other thing Putin is willing to die for is Russia. Putin is very patriotic toward Russia. He always has been. That does not mean he would be willing to die for the Russian people. Putin’s sense of patriotism is about the perceived greatness of Russia, and he is willing to sacrifice a great many Russians for that, as he is doing in Ukraine today.

There are rumors that Putin may have gotten sick recently in Beijing and that the Putin we are seeing may have something wrong with him. I know he left the Olympics abruptly and that some of his delegation got sick in Beijing, but I have seen no evidence that Putin is mentally compromised in any way, and so I assume he is not.

Putin has wanted to rebuild the Russian empire, encompassing all of the former Soviet Union, since the Berlin Wall came down, so the notion that he might invade Ukraine, which was a part of the Soviet Union, should surprise no one. In my last article, I showed how European and American weaknesses made the timing right. Putin spent months massing troops for the invasion – everyone knew he was going in.

Nobody should be surprised that Putin invaded, and so far, though Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people’s incredible determination to fight may be a surprise, as far as the rest of Europe and the Biden Administration are concerned, everyone has done exactly what Putin thought they would.

Far from being deranged or mad, Putin has been right in his assessments of other world leaders.

Putin is dangerous, and from a Western perspective, Putin does not share our values, so we might even call him evil, but he is not deranged, and he is definitely not stupid.

Putin is aligned with China – which is far more of a threat than Russia. A Chinese-Russian alliance is more dangerous than was the Cold War Soviet Union, more dangerous than was the Axis powers of WWII, more dangerous than were the Central Powers of WWI, and more dangerous than any war we have fought, at least since Britain burned down our capital in the War of 1812. This Chinese-Russian alliance may be the single greatest threat our nation has ever faced. It is an existential threat to our country, and to our way of life.

And with but two sentences, Mike Pence blamed ‘apologists’ in the Republican Party for that alliance, breathing new life into Democrat campaigns around the country, who previously had nothing of substance to run on.

The Democrat playbook is going to be to use Pence’s quote to link Russian Collusion with Donald Trump in the 2016 election (along with statements Trump and other Republicans have made since 2016 – taken out of context), to create a narrative that it was the Republican Party cozying up to Putin that emboldened him to invade Ukraine. The story will be that Putin had friends in Congress – Republicans all – and that the lies and deception they told and continue to tell are the real problems. The Democrats will say that unless you vote Democrat, you are a Putin ally.

From there, Democrats will segway to the January 6 Commission, claiming that not only did Republicans cozy up to Putin and encourage the war in Ukraine, but they even tried to overthrow our own government to put in an autocratic dictator – ending American Democracy to instill a pro-Putin crony.

How do I know that the Democrats will run on this? I know because it builds on the false narratives they have been spinning for the past eight years, and I know because it is all they have to run on.

This message will play beautifully with their base, who will not only view the Republican Party as an existential threat to Western Democracy, but also as a convenient scapegoat for further censorship of speech – Democrats will claim they are censoring insurrectionist speech only (which will be all speech they disagree with) – and will put in place autocratic leaders who, like Joe Biden, used only the appearance of an actual election to placate the public.

Most countries have elections, but in most countries, the results are predetermined. Voting in most of the world is done to provide propaganda for the public, creating an air of authenticity for a government the people did not choose.

It is not Russia that the Democrats are cozying up to so much as China, but the Democratic leadership is very much in favor of a one-world, autocratic state, and they are more than happy to work with Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping to forward that goal.

Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping do NOT want a one-world autocratic state. Xi Jinping wants to be the dominant world power, and wants to have absolute dominance throughout the Pacific Rim.

All of Russia East of the Urals is just a landmass to Putin. His aims are primarily in Europe, which he wishes to dominate. He also wants to rebuild the Russian Empire in Eastern Europe and Asia. In terms of annexing countries, most of Poland was a part of Russia between 1783 and 1918, and annexing Poland has been a Russian goal since the end of WWI. I fully believe Putin would invade Poland if he thought he could get away with it. My wife grew up in Poland. We have friends and family there. Believe me – Poland is nervous.

It is, of course, entirely possible that Putin’s gambit in Ukraine will fail. If Ukraine continues to resist even as the major cities are captured, I don’t see Russia’s economy being prepared for a long, drawn-out struggle. Putin’s narrative about freeing the Ukrainian people from a government of neo-Nazi thugs has fallen apart even in Russia, and his oligarchy buddies, who might be willing to put up with sanctions for a while, will lose patience if the war continues for long.

A Putin loss could be the end of Putin’s career, and would be a setback for China as well, but in terms of how the Democrats can use the war in the next couple of elections, they can use that narrative no matter what happens. It’s actually good for the Democrats if Putin fails, as it would make Biden look less like an idiot for sitting on his hands.

Note that China and Russia’s desired spheres of influence do not overlap. They are allied specifically because they can both have what they want if they can only get the United States out of the way. On this, they are natural allies of the Democratic Party, the leadership of which sees a weakening of the United States as a critical step toward building a one-world autocratic state.

We know that left-leaning bureaucrats throughout our government worked with China to weaponize Coronavirus, helping to pay for gain of function research and creating Covid-19 in a Wuhan lab. We know that Democrats around the country used the pandemic to shut down the US economy, state by state (which, according to John Hopkins University, was absolutely ineffective and totally the wrong thing to do), and that Democratic Governors and Secretaries of State used the pandemic to illegally change election laws, flooding the country with millions upon millions of extra ballots.

We know that a ‘well-funded cabal’ (in the words of Time Magazine) controlled America’s access to information, suppressing stories they knew to be true that were critical of Joe Biden and shoving stories they knew to be false down our collective throats whenever such articles were favorable of Biden or critical of Trump.

In other words, we know that we were lied to continuously and that our voices were suppressed.

That cabal still exists and has only become more powerful over the past couple of years.

The Surgeon General is now mandating that big tech turn in Americans who speak out against the government’s Covid policies, and we have seen big tech suppressing TRUTHFUL facts on Covid while perpetuating what they knew to be lies – and bragging about doing it – for years.

In 2022, 2023, and 2024, we are going to hear a continuous drumbeat about Russian Collusion, insurrection, Russian loyalists within the Republican Party, and Republican support for Putin in Ukraine. All of this will be false, and in fact, if you change ‘Russia’ to ‘China,’ and change ‘Ukraine’ to ‘Taiwan’ or ‘Hong Kong,’ Democrats will be blaming Republicans for precisely what Democrats have been doing for decades.

Democrats might even go so far as to try to remove Republicans from Congress for supporting a supposed insurrection. What Mike Pence gave the DNC was the one piece they did not have – a solid sound bite of Trump’s former Vice President singing the same tune.

Sorry Mike, but you are done. You don’t get to throw your entire political party under the bus and get a pass. Your career is over.

And in the coming elections, all of us real Republicans need to accept that not only do we have an anti-American DNC, but that we also have traitors, like Mike Pence, within our own ranks.

We need to fight like hell to purge our party of corruption, and to purge the Congress of Democrats.

I hear what you say about Mike Pence, but don’t be so fast to get rid or him. I call Mike, ‘Mr. Integrity’, just the opposite of Trump. In February 2022, Mike Pence recently rebuked  Donald Trump regarding the actions taken after the November 2020 election.
“In a speech to the conservative Federalist Society on Friday, former Vice President Mike Pence rebuked his one time boss, Donald Trump, decrying the notion that he could have overturned the election results on the 45th president’s behalf.
Our Founders were deeply suspicious of consolidated power in the nation’s capital and were rightly concerned with foreign interference if presidential elections were decided in the capital,’ Pence said. ‘But there are those in our party who believe that as the presiding officer over the joint session of Congress, I possessed unilateral authority to reject electoral college votes. And I heard this week, President Trump said I had the right to ‘overturn the election’. President Trump is wrong…I had no right to overturn the election.” In the article, “Pence rebukes Trump: ‘I had no right to overturn the election’ “, By Meridith McGrawhttps://www.politico.com/news/2022/02/04/pence-2020-election-january-6-00005846

But is telling the truth, a good reason to consider Mike Pence a  traitor  to his party.   Mike did that which was lawful and right.  ‘Mr. Integrity’.  From a March 2020 article regarding Pence,
“(Pence as Covid-19) czar seems to mean chief spin doctor, following a decree that scientists working at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health—leading experts in their fields—may no longer speak directly to the press or the public without first clearing their comments with Pence’s office.”, in the article, ‘Truth Has Become a Coronavirus Casualty’, by Suzanne Nossel, https://foreignpolicy.com/2020/03/09/truth-coronavirus-china-trump-pence/

It was at that time in March 2020, when Mike Pence became Trump’s censor regarding Covid-19 origin information, that we understood what nation created Covid-19, and how that nation ‘covered up’ its own mess. History will remember and be unkind to Trump and Pence for that ‘mess’.
