Some would argue that money and one’s last name are not contributing factors when it comes to an election. However, oftentimes regardless of a candidate’s experience, money and having the right last name can make the difference between winning and losing an election.
Colonel Julie Hall, who is running for Congress in Massachusetts, knows this all too well and discusses her concerns with “After Dark.” She says big money in politics has been around for some time and it’s time to end it. Her opponent, Jake Auchincloss, whose family has deep pockets, seems to be funding his campaign. Hall says Auchincloss has little to no experience, yet because of his family name, he is given media time and presented as a subject matter expert on matters he is not well versed. The Colonel who has three decades of experience in the military compared to her opponent’s five years, says if elected she will work to end the use of big money in elections.
Colonel Julie Hall is a United States Air Force veteran. Having served 30 years in the military, she is a patriot and a proud mother of a son. She has served as a member of the Massachusetts Governor’s Advisory Council on Veterans Services, and a member of the Attleboro Planning Board, Chair Zoning and Ordinance Subcommittee, Justice of the Peace in Mass and was a chief compliance officer for Nova Farms, LLC.
