According to the Biden White House, there are still as many as 15,000 US Citizens in Afghanistan, under ‘shelter in place’ orders, with no US strategy to get them out. The same Biden White House says that nobody has been killed by the Taliban, which is an absurd statement based on all of the video and photo evidence of the Taliban shooting into crowds. One Afghan woman was reportedly set on fire by the Taliban for cooking poorly. No matter what the Biden White House may say, the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan was not ‘mostly peaceful.’

Note that the last American casualty in Afghanistan, before Joe Biden gave it to the Taliban, was in February 2020 – more than a year and a half ago (we have not had more than 11 casualties since 2015) – and that Joe Biden inherited a stable (albeit fragile) Afghanistan, with an Afghan Army holding the Taliban at bay, with the help of American drone strikes, and the occasional US bomb run. Also, note that the troops Biden pulled out of Afghanistan are still in the US military, and cost just as much to house in Fort Hood as in Kabul.

Also, note that we have almost three times as many troops in Afghanistan right now, holding the Kabul airport (Biden has flown back in 6,000 troops) than we had holding the entire country before Joe Biden gave Afghanistan to the Taliban.

Joe Biden’s Afghanistan pullout is an absolute, unmitigated disaster, reminiscent of Barack Obama ‘endorsing’ his former running mate by warning the American people to ‘Never underestimate Joe’s ability to F things up.’ That’s a direct quote, by the way, except that Obama used the full word.

Robert Gates, President Obama’s Secretary of Defense, ‘endorsed’ Joe Biden just as plainly, warning the American People that “I think he has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.”

Joe Biden just extended that to five decades.

As for Obama’s Presidency, Robert Gates described it in his book as ‘a category-five shitstorm.’

As Vice President, Joe Biden was, in the words of Bob Woodward, ‘poisoning the well’ against America’s military leadership. Lt. Gen. Douglas E. Lute told Bob Woodward that Joe Biden was, “aggressive, suspicious, and sometimes condescending and insulting [in his] questioning of our military leaders.”

What all has Joe Biden F’d up (in the words of Barack Obama) so far into his first year, you ask?

Afghanistan is in the hands of the Taliban again – and is already becoming a terrorist safe zone, where attacks against the United States are being planned.

Pakistan is openly friendly with the Taliban. Note that Pakistan is a nuclear power and that the Taliban and their terrorist friends understand that the best nuclear delivery system is not a missile, but a Jihadi with a mini-van.

While the Taliban are releasing thousands of terrorists from prisons across Afghanistan, we have no control over our own southern border.

The United States is again dependent on oil from nations whose leaders want to kill us.

China has told Japan that if Japan sends so much as one ship with one soldier to assist Taiwan (which China is promising to invade), China will fire a preemptive nuclear broadside, killing everything and everyone in Japan.

Did I mention that China is promising to invade Taiwan?

Gas prices have exploded, as have food prices.

Covid-19 has become a never-ending pandemic, with children forced to wear masks in schools for the foreseeable future, and economic lockdowns becoming as recurring as ocean tides.

We are being lied to about the efficacy of the vaccines, as well as about the effectiveness of natural immunity.

American states are beginning to roll out vaccination passports, discriminating against Americans who have chosen not to take the vaccines.

Inflation is running at the highest rate in our nation’s history.

The American People are openly censored across social media.

American cities are being burned down, with crime and murder rates hitting historic highs.

Vast swaths of the American workforce are taking overly generous unemployment benefits rather than showing up to work, grinding our economy to its knees (and causing layoffs further up in organizations, who don’t need plant managers when they can’t get enough workers to run a plant).

Teachers across the country are refusing to teach our nation’s children.

The entire conservative movement is being openly called the nation’s gravest terrorist threat – and we have a sham of an investigation looking into January 6, with Nancy Pelosi choosing not only the Democrats to put on the investigation committee, but the Republicans as well. That is, by the way, not a complete list.

Let us face the reality that Joe Biden has, in the words of Barack Obama, F’d up so many things, that we can’t even keep track of them all anymore. I would think that everyone in the Biden Administration is incompetent were it not for one thing – everything the Biden Administration has done has made the United States weaker, and China stronger.

China already has deals with the Taliban for China to invest in Afghan infrastructure, and for China to develop the estimated trillion dollars worth of rare Earth materials in Afghanistan. China is also buddying up with Pakistan, in a move designed to isolate India. Joe Biden, in the meantime, is using the Department of Education to teach our own children to hate each other, and to hate the United States of America.

How many Hunter Biden original pieces of art do you think China has to buy to get us to sit on our hands when China invades Taiwan? The Biden Administration is not even hiding their corruption anymore, but is, rather, openly committing insurrection against the United States. The most accurate statement Joe Biden has ever made was, “I don’t work for you,” but note that Joe Biden will never say that to Xi Xinping.

And as I write this, up to 15,000 American citizens, and tens of thousands of friendly Afghans, are hunkered down across Afghanistan, at the mercy of the Taliban, in what is the single greatest disaster ever caused by any American President, in all of American history. As if to add insult to injury, President Biden told George Stephenolopis that he ‘cannot remember’ whether or not any of his military advisers predicted that pulling out all American troops overnight (and grounding the Afghan airforce) might lead to this result. Joe Biden even said that he would do it again if he had the opportunity.

I am absolutely beside myself in anger and disgust.

The Biden Administration, in the meantime, is trying to spin what is happening into a success, while at the same time blaming it on Trump.

It is true that Trump negotiated to have all of our troops leave Afghanistan, but it is also true that we trained and supplied the Afghan Army to fight using combined arms operations (ground forces supported by air) and that the Afghan Army relied on American contractors to maintain the aircraft we gave the Afghan Army. Joe Biden had all of these contractors stand down, as a part of his termination of the American mission, and in doing so, he grounded the Afghan air support operations the Afghan Army relied on to fight.

Large swaths of Afghanistan can only be resupplied by air. Grounding the Afghan air support operations left all of the Afghan army units in those areas without supplies.

When President Biden says that he did not think the Afghan Army could have been defeated as quickly as it was, note that the Afghan Army would not have been defeated so quickly, if at all, had the Afghan Army had the air support and supply they were trained to rely on. We gave the Afghans aircraft and trained pilots to fly the aircraft, but the Afghans had no maintenance crews. Denying civilian contractors the ability to maintain aircraft is the single biggest reason the Taliban took over, and is the ONLY reason it took over as quickly as it did.

Note too that all of the untold billions of advanced weaponry we gave the Afghan Army are now in the hands of the Taliban, and in the hands of the terrorists that the Taliban support.

With air support, the Afghans were a capable fighting force, having taken over all ground operations several years ago. Without air support, and with most units cut off from all resupply, the fall of the Afghan Army was a foregone conclusion – and it is entirely the fault of President Joe Biden, whose voters ignored Barack Obama’s warning not to “underestimate Joe’s ability to F things up.”

And as we face the probability of a Chinese invasion of Taiwan, we have to face the reality that this President of the United States is by far the worst President the United States has ever had. He is like Ivan Drago (the Russian boxer in Rocky 4) in that everything he hits, he destroys.

Thanks for the piece, Wallace. You have definitely helped my understanding of the situation in Afghanistan much more. Good thing Joe doesn’t have Drago’s energy!
