Buffalo Bills safety 24 yr old Damar Hamlin has been in critical condition after collapsing on the field during a Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The team tweeted the initial update, saying, “Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit in our game versus the Bengals. His heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the UC Medical Center for further testing and treatment. He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition.”

Dr. McCullough points outs, there are two immediate questions: 1) any history of heart disease? (HCM, anomalous cors, channelopathy), 2) what brand, dose 1, dose 2, boosters? History is key to clinical evaluation.

What to Know About the New XBB.1.5 Variant – Experts worry that it could start a wave of new infections and reinfections. A new variant of the virus that causes COVID-19 is spreading in the U.S., raising concerns about a potential wave of infections and reinfections to start the new year. The variant, called XBB.1.5, is a descendant of Omicron and a close relative of the XBB variant, which spread widely in Singapore and India this past fall. (TIME)

During the week ending Dec. 31, XBB.1.5 accounted for 40.5% of new sequenced COVID-19 cases in the U.S., according to data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It’s currently causing roughly 75% of new cases in the Northeast, which is often a bellwether for the rest of the country.
Hospitalizations are also starting to tick upward nationwide, according to CDC data.

The virus appears to be evolving in ways that evade immunity, the WSJ reports. Are Vaccines Fueling New Covid Variants? It’s a question, we have asked ourselves here on America Out Loud PULSE. We’ll address that question in today’s episode.

Questions can be sent to any of the hosts to be answered on air. Submit your America Out Loud PULSE questions here.

Peggy – Hello, Malcolm and Dr. McCullough. I am in Lenawee County, Michigan. My pulmonologist warned me today that after a long period of milder Omicron illnesses, he has seen cases over the past two months of a Delta like Covid. There have been a couple of deaths in patients in their 50’s with no comorbidities. He said that these patients were vaccinated and these deadly infections were not repeated infections but first Covid infections. He is saying that it seems there is some Delta still circulating out there but is even more concerned about what is heading our way in a few months from China.

I am one who, like Malcolm’s wife, narrowly escaped the ventilator with a Delta infection a year ago. I had double pneumonia and several blood clots in my lungs bilaterally. I was just now gaining the courage to get off the Eliquis and venture out a little more, at least to see kids and grandkids when no one has symptoms. This news has set me back to fearing another Covid infection. What are your thoughts on these more severe infections popping up? Since I survived Delta a year ago, do I have protection from severe infection and death? And do you have any information about the variants from China?

Kristen – Have you seen the “died suddenly” documentary? Are you aware of these fibrous clots? Have you seen them, or that they are actually occurring at the frequency stated in this documentary? What’s your assessment of the assertions presented in this video?

Lisa – I keep hearing about the horrible blood clots in people who have died. If the vaccine is causing this, should we be concerned about America’s blood supply? I have a lot of vaccinated friends who give blood all the time. How does vaccinated blood affect an unvaccinated person?

I read in two different sources that an MD gave him a Covid ‘ booster’ on Dec. 26, 2022.

All but 2 players on the Bills are known to have been compliant with Jabs. That means Hamlin had at least 2 mRNA Jabs and there was pressure to get a booster until March 2022.

But Hamlin is 1 of only 3 recent cases of possible heart damage from the jab. No one has discussed the other 2 cases involving JJ Watt and the recent death of Uche Nwaneri (age 38 retired from the Jags).
Regarding Nwaneri, the Washington Examiner article said:
“A preliminary autopsy report conducted Monday revealed the former linebacker died due to an “enlarged heart with acute heart failure,” the report noted, and an official cause will be reported once toxicology reports are made available.
No foul play is suspected at this time, Tippecanoe County Coroner Carrie Costello said.”
No other report included these above details.

Of course wrt all the Soccer Leagues, I’ve read that on average there have been only 29 cases of heart arrest on the field per year. But that figure is now over 5500 cases or about 100 times higher since the Jab has been available. If someone has more detailed results, please post.

There was someone claiming he was a Doc, who gave him the Jab on 12/26. Then he deleted the tweet.
I was on his account before the account was deleted. He was a pro-Biden person.
If it turned out that he had a 4th Jab at the end of December, it would almost certainly be the cause.
The NFL can’t let us know this.

Regardless, the public should be allowed to receive these details, and waive HIPAA regulations.
