During the Congressional hearings with FBI Inspector General Horowitz concerning the investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation into Hillary Clinton’s improper handling of e-mail communications during her tenure as Secretary of State, Democrat Congressman Elijah Cummings stated that the Republicans would never be satisfied until they got the answer they sought, “Hillary Clinton prosecuted”.
First let me point out that it was Democrats who nominated the most corrupt and dishonest candidate ever to run for the office of President of the United States in American history, so Congressman Cummings needs to understand that it is because of that very fact that Republicans are seeking ‘justice for the American people’. Not just a particular answer.
For the past at least thirty or thirty-five years Hillary Clinton has lived under a cloud of corruption, special treatment and favors, and continual lies and mendacity. Starting way back when she was fired from the Watergate Commission – by a Democrat no less because of her lies and unethical behavior. And continuing during her tenure as First Lady of the State of Arkansas. She certainly has a track record worthy of prosecution somewhere along the way.
Elijah Cummings is nothing if not a reliable defender of Clinton misbehavior. Yet his protestations about Republican efforts to get at the truth about the FBI investigation – and I use that term loosely – falls on deaf ears.
As a public servant he took an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States. An oath that apparently he only believes applies when a Republican is the subject of an inquiry.
Sorry Elijah, it’s about a quest for the truth. If that happens to result in Hillary Clinton being found guilty then yes, “lock her up” !
