Everyone is probably good at something. We may not know what it is we are good at, but I’m pretty sure there is something. That’s not to say that everything we’re good at is a good thing.
Take, as an example, governments.
Some people treat government, especially the federal government, as an unmitigated good.
Want to protect people from bad products, create a government agency.
Want to avoid another bank collapse, let government regulate it.
Want some open spaces for the people to enjoy, create a park, and put the government in charge.
There is one almost universal truth that those who trust government to regulate every aspect of their lives seem to have forgotten. The one thing governments across history have proven to be very good at is screwing things up.
