Has Xi Jinping over-reached beyond his ability to control the outcomes in China?
– in policy,
– in the building of his military,
– in his over-reach to control so many parts of the world,
– in the disregard of his own people,
– in the disrespect towards the other members of the CCP, and
– in his overall underestimation of the many enemies, he has acquired since he assumed his position at the head of the Chinese government.
Xi Jinping and the CCP see China as destined to be the leader of the entire world, with XI at its helm. China’s Mission is to overtake the United States and become the economic leader of the world, replacing democracy with the CCP’s brand of communism. Looking at America’s current foreign policy with the Biden Administration, China sees the weakness, as does Russia and Iran. The current US military budget isn’t even keeping up with inflation. And the military is sleeping as they become more woke. Don’t even try to make sense of that.
Leaders from Roman Emperor Hadrian in the second century AD to former US President Ronald Reagan in the 1980s used the phrase, “Peace through strength,” to suggest that military power was the only sure way to preserve peace. At the Republican National Convention on July 17, 1980, Ronald Reagan reminded Americans that when weakness sets in, tyrants will strike. “We know only too well that war comes not when the forces of freedom are strong, but when they are weak. It is then that tyrants are tempted,” Reagan said. During Reagan’s administration, the size of the U.S. Army grew by two active divisions and saw the development of new weapons systems. The Strategic Defense Initiative, or “Star Wars,” was announced as a defense against a nuclear attack. It was Presidents Reagan’s hope that his new military initiatives would not only contain communism but defeat it.
