Over the weekend, I narrowly avoided being in a mall with an active shooter. My family was going to shop for an Easter outfit on Saturday night, and I ruled out the mall because I did not want my children there. I am thankful for my intuition, as we likely would have been present in the food court during the time of the shooting. Three people were shot, and five more were injured. The next day social media began the opportunistic politicians.

The conversations after these events are always the same from the liberals. Ban guns. End the second amendment. Create new laws. Restrict access. None of the liberals ever enter into an intellectual conversation regarding the shootings and what caused them. These people are morally bankrupt. There is often an acceptable loss of life when it is an inner-city youth linked to gang violence. But, having a shooting at a school, mall, or church, it’s a travesty, and they mobilize efforts.

Attending mass on Easter Sunday, I noticed that fewer were present than at any other time. Those that were present seemed to be relaxed in attire and expectations. Could this be a subset of part of the problem? Is society becoming Godless? Yesterday, Google did nothing to note Easter, and, their search results for “What holiday is today?” was shocking. Society is falling.

Looking at the world stage, China surrounded Taiwan, and France’s Macron made a troubling statement that should alarm every American. The media will try to spin it, but I’m going to be straightforward on today’s show. Donald Trump may have been right when he posted a simple “World War III” on his truth social. America has dark times ahead, and if we can’t unify, darker still will they become.
