For years, there’s been this unhinged push to “do something” about everything that happens in America. Whenever there’s a mass shooting, the hashtag #DoSomething trends on social media with people calling for gun control and lambasting anyone who offers thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families.
When Russia invaded Ukraine, Americans called for action. Or, to be more accurate, Americans were prompted by the powers-that-be to call for action. Most did not really think we should do much, just as we haven’t done much to stop other regional conflicts. But corporate media and the Biden regime made it our mission to somehow prevent Russia from annexing Ukraine just as they did with Crimea, so more people on both sides of the political aisle demanded action.
Here’s the thing. None of our actions will actually accomplish anything for the people of Ukraine. McDonald’s and Coca Cola will only force Russians to eat and drink healthier by boycotting the nation, but their boycotts won’t stop Vladimir Putin from pushing forward. Visa, Mastercard, and American Express suspending accounts in Russia will hurt the people financially, but won’t dissuade Putin for a second. And the various sanctions that are being imposed on Russia by the United States and other nations will only harm our own economies while pushing Russia even further in bed with China.
In other words, all of the actions that are supposedly “doing something” aren’t actually going to save a single life in Ukraine. Meanwhile, we are all going to be suffering as a result. Higher gas and food prices are just the beginning. When food is scarce and gas prices are high, other industries and resources suffer as well. We are collapsing our own economy in a futile effort to stop a regional conflict that we helped to antagonize in the first place.
I’m not a Putin apologist. I neither support his incursion into Russia nor do I believe he is doing some secret mission to fight the good fight against the globalist elites, as some have tried to tell me. I think he’s a selfish thug who felt the need to “do something” instead of using the threat of an invasion as leverage to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO.
There’s more to the story than NATO, and that worries me. I’m not one to fall for conspiracy theories but the notion that Russia is intentionally antagonizing the west to give him a clean entry into a new Russo-Sino economic superpower seems more credible every day. If that’s the case, then every sanction imposed on Russia will be used as an example the Russians and Chinese can use to lure other nations to join them. They’ll say the United States and their Western allies cannot be trusted and will abandon anyone who does not stay in line with their edicts. And they’d be at least partially correct.
I’m not unsympathetic of the people suffering in Ukraine. The citizens, their military members, and the Russian troops who would rather be sipping vodka with their families are all victims. But just because there are victims doesn’t mean we need to get involved. That’s not just an isolationist perspective. If I thought the sanctions would make Putin turn his armies around, I would likely support them. But they will do nothing to end the suffering and will only expand the suffering stateside.
We need to do what’s best for the United States. Symbolic actions that will do nothing for the Ukrainian people but will hurt others around the world, including in America, will not make us stronger. In the end, we will grow to regret these moves. How badly they affect us will be determined by how long we allow the pointless moves to continue.

Worse than that there are local managers and judges that will just transfer their property to Russians. Global theft is now legal and being used starting with US, Russian Yachts and property. If McDougals backs out of Russia locals will fill in the gap.
Sanctions were just about to work on Iran, another 150 years and they would have destroyed Iran. The Russian sanctions will work about as well.
