Moving to his parent’s basement (exaggeration here) right before the election, Mehmet Oz seems to be taking Pennsylvania state by storm with the help of celebrity insider and former President Donald Trump. However, more like the Biden campaign, he was absent, and a crowd was hard to find.

Accepting his endorsement officially at a Trump rally, he was booed at every turn. However, Pennsylvanians are supposed to believe that the Trump followers just blindly followed. Something doesn’t add up.

There will be an automatic recount because the election is within a range that it just stands as policy. However, with less than 24 hours of polls closing, reports are coming out claiming ballot issues within Lancaster County, running out of ballots in Westmoreland and Allegheny County, polling location cameras being covered with bags, and no election judges present.

With a host of good, actual Pennsylvania residents running in this race, how is it that Dr. Oz, as liberal as they come, can pull off such a stunning race? Many people may not be convinced, and the larger question will be if Pennsylvanians will hold their nose and actually vote for him should he take the ticket.

Even more shocking is that McCormick and Oz came in paying about $200 per vote received, with Barnette averaging $16 per vote, and she is almost within five percent of the vote with the other two. t was certainly the race of the decade with some unexpected turns.

Other upsets include Senator Doug Mastriano winning the gubernatorial race upsetting insider GOP leadership who pulled out every stop to prevent him from becoming the candidate. The junior senator has risen quickly because of his connection with the people, which few legislators seem to be able to do.

GOP leadership came together in the last-minute attempt to steal the people’s voice, asking all candidates, except for Lou Barletta, to back out of the race, pitting the top two candidates against each other.

Some candidates did fall silent, but the ballots were already printed. Despite Corman dropping out in agreement with leadership, he still was able to garner a little support.

While the question of Oz’s support from the people remains unknown, it’s the lack of support from GOP leadership that may confuse the general election for the gubernatorial race. Hopefully, leadership will recognize the people’s will and get onboard the Mastriano train because the people of Pennsylvania certainly will.

Other surprises at the state level included incumbents like Reps Stan Saylor and Rep Keith Gillespie, who lost their seats. Perhaps voting for the largest gas tax in Pennsylvania wasn’t the most favorable position to take by Saylor. The grassroots movement is strong in Pennsylvania and should not be underestimated.

People are tired of politics as usual, and it is showing. Voter guides calling out politicians’ actions and stances are at the forefront of this year’s election. Let the politicians beware.
