The First Amendment protects your right to petition the government for a redress of grievances. One of the ways we do that is through lawsuits. Today, I want to look at several lawsuits, some state and some federal, where people are attempting to protect their rights. From your right to control your business to suits about searches and surveillance, there are plenty of examples of people trying to protect their rights. If they succeed, they will protect your rights as well.
