Violent crime in cities across America is surging to levels almost unimaginable just a few short years ago. Yet arrests of violent offenders are down, and prosecutions for those who commit these crimes are diminishing at an alarming rate. Police Officers are turning in their badges in droves, leaving a void of experience and knowledge that is impossible to fill.
Even as recruiting men and women to replace them is proving to be impossible. And as the body count continues to rise, we continue to see the political “leaders” of our cities still embracing “social Justice” and “police reform” ideologies.
Why is America becoming lawless, and why are communities of color bearing the brunt of the violence?
College Professor and former cop Will Moravits has authored the book, “The Blue Divide. Policing and Race in America.” He co-hosts this week’s episode of The Voice for American Law Enforcement with Show Host Randy Sutton. Together they explore the causes and consequences of this highly controversial topic.
Lt. Randy Sutton can be heard on weekdays at 11 am ET on The Voice for American Law Enforcement on the iHeart Radio Network. Find all the Blue Lives Radio episodes available on the America Out Loud Podcast Network.
