For better and worse, an emotionally wrenching and socially divisive 2020 election ordeal is drawing to an ignominious end. In short, both sides of deep and wide ideological divides won some victories, while losing some great hopes as well.
Nevertheless, regardless of any and all final deciding vote tallies, America is an enormously big winner for having previously elected the most effective domestic and world leader in modern times.
If you tend not to believe this, let’s take just a moment to briefly highlight some Trump administration achievements over his brief four-year term at our national helm.
Historic Economic Growth

A recent Gallup poll found that 56% of Americans said they were better off than they were four years ago: higher than Ronald Reagan (44%) when he ran for reelection in 1984, George W. Bush (47%) in 2004, and Barack Obama (45%) in 2012 when they each won second terms.

Deregulation lifted the dead weight of unnecessarily burdensome and costly business red tape restrictions. The 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act slashed top federal corporate taxes from 35% to 21%, previously the highest in the industrialized world, returning U.S. corporations and repatriating hundreds of billions in capital that had fled to more business-friendly countries.
The growth acceleration created a tight labor market that raised wages for millions left behind by the slow-growth Obama years. Incomes for the less skilled and less educated rose faster than for the affluent.
Together, these deregulatory and tax-reduction policies triggered surges of optimism, business investment, job openings, and rising prosperity that particularly benefited low-and middle-income workers.
Significant Minority Advancements
African-American and other minority populations were among the biggest Trump economy winners, having reached the lowest unemployment rates in modern history for both black men and women. Nearly 70% of working black women currently hold a white-collar job, as do just over 40% of black men.
Trump administration “opportunity zones” established by the Tax Cut and Jobs Act have incentivized private investment into marginalized predominately minority communities. A September Council of Economic Advisors report found that in just two years the program had driven $75 billion of financing into the nearly 9,000 low-to-moderate-income census tracks throughout all U.S. states and territories.
President Trump increased federal funding to historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) by 17% – a total exceeding $100 million annually – more than any other administration ever. The Obama administration had previously removed a two-year Bush administration HBCU program that had funded $85 million annually.
Accelerated Pandemic Recovery
The Covid-19 pandemic and shutdowns which have wrought historic economic destruction are now being followed by a historic rebound.
In stark contrast to the empty Democratic campaign “crush the virus” sloganeering, the Trump administration took bold and effective actions to protect lives and lifestyles.
On January 31 – the day after the CDC first publicly confirmed person-to-person virus transmission – Trump overruled “experts” and enacted a travel ban on China to slow down the spread.
Two months later, the president established a National Coronavirus Task Force, invoked the Defense Production Act to provide all medical equipment needed to respond to the crisis, established a rapidly accelerating national testing program, and organized a massively aggressive “Operation Warp Speed” involving government agencies and commercial drug firms which is well on the way to delivering multiple vaccines and therapies before this year’s end.
Judicial Fairness Reforms
Despite Barack Obama having Democratic control of all branches of government for his first two years, it was Donald Trump who passed the most comprehensive criminal justice reforms to disproportionately benefit black and Hispanic minorities in decades.
In 2018, Trump signed into law the First Step Act aimed to lesson over-incarceration of racially disparate (91% black) populations, resulting in sentencing reductions and releases of thousands of prison inmates.
In addition, President Trump will soon have appointed more than 200 federal judges – about 30% of the appellate bench – plus one-third of the U.S. Supreme Court justices. These positions have been carefully selected to enforce proper separation of powers, rein in the administrative state, and protect the Bill of Rights from progressive assaults.
National Energy Independence
Trump administration energy policies have unleashed industry production, created tens of thousands of jobs, and made the U.S. less dependent on foreign oil. This, in turn, makes America far less vulnerable to price and supply intimidation by economic and military adversaries.
Fracking and other advanced drilling technologies have opened vast expanses of domestic oil and natural gas. And as domestic production skyrocketed, imports have been steadily dropping. Meanwhile, the U.S. has become the world’s largest crude oil producer, and one of the largest global exporters.
Strong Global Trade and Security
President Trump prudently pulled out of the disastrous Iranian nuclear deal and the Potemkin Paris Climate Accord, defeated ISIS, killed Iranian terror chief Qasem Soleimani, and moved the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. These actions led to a series of historic Middle East peace agreements between Israel and its Arab neighbors.
Although a strong defender of national security, President Trump doesn’t start foreign wars…he ends them.
And unlike President Obama, our current foreign relations leader doesn’t apologize for America, and in fact, thinks in many ways our global trade and defense policies have been too generous and economically foolish.
Prevailing Over Partisan Opposition

Donald J. Trump has endured and prevailed over the most vicious political opposition experienced by any modern president. Included was the infamously brutal Russian probe premised entirely upon a fabricated Clinton campaign-sponsored “dirty dossier” intended to undermine and revoke his presidency.

Aided and abetted by corrupted Deep State operatives, Democrats have attempted to reverse the will of the American electorate through an impeachment sham with no evidence whatsoever of any high crimes nor misdemeanors.
Simultaneously, while battling transparently partisan “mainstream” media adversaries bent upon canceling his presidency, Trump has steadfastly defended our American history, constitutional freedoms, border sovereignty, and founding economic principles from incessant assaults by cancel-culture radicals.
Mr. President …thank you for your great service to an all-too-infrequently grateful nation.
