John Cox has seen a lot in his days. In high school, he was in high school when the 1965 Watts Riots erupted and was a fireman during the 1992 Rodney King Los Angeles Riots. To him, the riots all have something in common – agitation. Cox, who is our guest on “After Dark With Rob and Andrew,” points the finger at the usual suspects of race riots taking place around the country today. It is his opinion, Maxine Waters and other race-baiters are to blame. When it’s all over, he explained, minorities left in the communities suffer, for they are left behind to rebuild their destroyed communities. While the Captain said racism does exist, it isn’t at the level it had been before the Civil Rights. The push to defund the police, he said, is being pushed by the same agitators who don’t care anything about police reform or care about those individuals impacted by the police not being there.
John Cox is a native of California. He has served more than 30 years at the Anaheim California Fire Department, with his most recent captain position. He owns several businesses, including Cox Novak Construction, Inc., Rose Canyon Cantina & Grill, and Cox Racing Team.
