Moral Distress (MD) may have become America’s number one psychological disorder. So what is it, and who’s at the root of it?
Moral Distress occurs when you know the ethically correct action to take, but forces constrain you from taking it. For example, Moral Distress results from ethically or morally challenging situations where you have evidence our political elites are constantly making self-serving policy decisions and then lying to you about their motivation and where they’re going with these decisions.
Have you ever sat and watched the nightly news and intuitively and immediately known that a government policy the broadcaster is telling you about is inherently wrong. This policy will cause great harm, but you feel helpless to do anything about it. The policy will hurt you and your family, but there’s not a thing you can do other than calling your Senator and Congress person and hoping they’re not Radical Progressives.
For instance, your Moral Distress kicks in when you accidentally discover that your young, impressionable kindergartener’s school will teach her gender identity, sexual orientation, and tenets of critical race theory behind your back.
You raise the issue with the principal, but the school is going ahead with the indoctrination anyway. You decide to protest this issue at your next school board meeting, but then you back off because you’re concerned the FBI might be taking the parents’ names showing up at school board meetings. And if you go and voice your concerns about the gender and sexual lessons, will the teachers take their displeasure on your kindergartener? And then you learn that your child’s class will host Drag Queens next week to lead reading lessons during story hour.
If these types of school lessons promoting Woke Ideologies continue, you face increasing Moral Distress. You also have the practical dilemma of either pulling your child out of that school and homeschooling or enrolling her in a parochial school. But you can’t afford either—Moral Distress results from helplessness.
By contrast, Wokeism is an insidious form of Moral Turpitude which is a form of deviant, wicked, immoral, and unethical behavior; Moral Turpitude is an unjust and evil departure from ordinary social standards such that it shocks a God-fearing community. Wokeism most certainly fits this description.
Joe Biden and Progressive Democrats bask in the Moral Turpitude of Wokeism. This senseless helplessness and victimization will continue if we don’t put a stop to it by voting them out of office this November 8, 2022.
