Too often, we take our farmers for granted. We assume that abundant, nutritious, and affordable food will always appear on our grocery store shelves no matter what misguided government policies are imposed on agriculture. Few city dwellers seem to understand the vast risks farmers take and how vulnerable they are to draconian regulations such as the Waters of the United States rule that President Biden is bringing back into force.
Agriculture broadcaster, journalist, and rancher Trent Loos explains that while many bureaucrats working in cubicles in Washington D.C. speak about achieving farmer sustainability by 2030, they seem not to recognize how sustainable America’s farmers are already. Mr. Loos said:
“My family immigrated from Germany to Adams County, Illinois, in 1832. My family still farms the same land that the first Looses came to from Germany in 1832. I left Illinois in 1988; my wife and I ranch in central Nebraska but my sister, her husband, and my mother still reside at the home farm, and if that’s not sustainable, then I don’t know what sustainability is.”
Loos travels the country teaching people the beautiful truths about agriculture to combat the left’s lies. He recently completed a 100-day journey across the U.S. lecturing city folks about agriculture. He was met by large crowds happy to learn that farmers continue to be the best environmentalists and stewards of our land.
Join Dr. Jay Lehr, Tom Harris, and guest Trent Loos in this week’s episode of The Other Side of the Story to learn how today’s farmers are among the most wonderful people in America and how we can help them provide us with the best food in the world.
