The tension is ratcheting up all over the world as the Delta outbreak continues to flare in many heavily vaccinated regions of the world. When more than 25% of the population takes the ill-advised COVID-19 vaccine, this promotes a super-dominant mutant that can easily evade the vaccines’ weak protection, which has happened with Delta.
India has shown the world the only way to deal with Delta is not more vaccination, but early multidrug treatment.
Frustration is coming out in folk songs, and the pop music industry, as shown in Eric Clapton’s “Enough is Enough” and “Waking Up” (Freedom Doesn’t Come in a Can) – a protest song written and performed by Jack DesBois. Expect more to come as many wake up to the reality that our government agencies have failed us on the science, transparency, and safeguarding Americans from conflict of interest.
In this vein, Dr. Marion Gruber, the senior FDA official who signed the conditional approval of the BioNTech COVID-19 mRNA vaccine, has stepped down from that position. Comirnaty has an estimated 39-42% protection from SARS-CoV-2 that runs out in less than 12 months and is grossly failing to control Delta. Gruber was not the only FDA resignation after the Pfizer-BioNTech fallout. Dr. Phil Krause, deputy director of the Office of Vaccines Research and Review, also stepped down at the same time. One can only speculate on the motives for resignation after such a disastrous act of regulatory malfeasance that was undoubtedly pressured by many vaccine stakeholders.
Several major public health players have become deeply financially invested in the decision to promote mass vaccination on the population. The last two FDA commissioners have joined firms that directly profit from the unwanted products. Dr. Steven Hahn took a position at Flagship Pioneering earlier this year. The venture capital firm provided seed funding for Moderna as far back as 2009 and remains one of the company’s biggest investors. Moderna stock has jumped 20-fold since the beginning of the pandemic thanks to the vaccine, the only product the company has ever brought to market in its 12-year history.
Scott Gottlieb is on the Board of Directors for Pfizer. That company has recognized over $10 billion in profits from the COVID-19 vaccine alone, making it the best drug introduction in history as governments guaranteed purchases and provided most of the marketing and advertising. Gottlieb has a window through the public as a commutator on CNBC, and as a board member of Pfizer, he cannot divorce his personal conflict of interest with Pfizer and give an honest appraisal to the public.
We have a wonderful program this week with some commentary from Dr. Eleftherios Gkioulekas, who is a university professor in South Texas near the Mexican border. He reports his observations on COVID-19, the university, and migrants. We finish with an anonymous report from “CC” in Ho Chi Min City, formerly Saigon, Viet Nam, the city where the outbreak of Delta in healthcare workers was shown to be driven by fully vaccinated super spreaders during an isolated lockdown.
