“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed.” (II Corinthians 4: 8-9)
Though written many years ago, those words authored by St. Paul the Apostle and Timothy, his son in the gospel, are eerily reflective of what many conservatives see themselves experiencing today, standing up for their belief system in a woke environment. Conservatives have seen their voices silenced and censored, taking away their ability to participate in public discourse. In some instances, many who relied on social media platforms for income have had it taken away after being de-platformed.
Chad Caton, a veteran and radio talk show host,⏤knows what it is like to have your voice taken away and then fight to get it back. He talks to “After Dark With Rob And Andrew” and details his fight with being silenced. Caton said he was let go from his radio talk show after it was learned that he was at the Capitol on January 6. The talk show host said he was there exercising his right under the Constitution in supporting fellow Americans. Since that day, he said he has been labeled a “domestic terrorist,” among other things. However, he didn’t let it stop him from moving forward and having his voice heard. He has managed to resurface on other social media platforms and is looking to re-emerge with his radio show.
Caton tells “After Dark” that no one said it would be easy standing up for what’s right and what you believe in, but we have to do it. He said he sees the world in a tailspin, and we have to “get ok with uncomfortable” and fight back and “put the left in its place unapologetically.”
Chad Caton, aka Thugzilla, is a medically retired firefighter and veteran of the United States Navy (Seabees). His website describes him as being “just a man who lived on a farm in Illinois, just a man who served our country… just a man who wanted nothing more than to help people throughout his life. He is the host of the radio/podcast, “I’m Fired Up.”
