Ashli Babbitt is an American hero. She was shot at the young age of 35 when Capitol Hill police Lt. Michael Byrd fired a shot into a crowd of innocent people in our nation’s Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Babbitt, whose military life following her high school graduation in San Diego, had served in the Air Force. She was deployed eight times and had done tours in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, and Qatar. Six years of her service were spent in the District of Columbia Air National Guard, whose duty is to defend the Washington, D.C. region. She retired from military duty after serving her country for 14 years.
In addition to her military life, Babbitt was a business owner and married to Aaron Babbitt. She was also a sister, a daughter, a friend, and an ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump.
It was her support for the former president that seemingly caused her murder and the public destruction of her name by the media and radical Democrats. Following her murder, not one Democrat thought to hold a moment of silence for this military veteran. Whenever the media mentioned her, they labeled her a radical.
Micki Witthoeft, Babbitt’s mother, who was arrested on the anniversary of her daughter’s murder in D.C., recently shared in an interview that her daughter was denied full military honors at her funeral. She continued and said, “I think the military disrespected her.”
Meanwhile, Resident Joe Biden, Democrats, and the media have congratulated the rioters of 2020-2021. Biden has even given Civil Awards to individuals who pushed lies about Babbitt’s death and others who actively worked to silence the voices of peaceful protesters who wanted to know the truth about the stolen 2020 election.
We must never forget Ashli Babbitt. At some point, she must posthumously be awarded full military honors, for she is an American hero.
