Dr. Jay Lehr and Tom Harris are joined this week by Dr. Howard Hayden, professor of physics emeritus of the University of Connecticut. Professor Hayden describes why wind and solar power are hopelessly inadequate energy sources to power modern industrial nations. Also discussed is the fact that, without subsidies, wind and solar industries would quickly collapse since, in reality, both are far too expensive for anything other than small niche markets.
A Colorado native, Professor Hayden earned Bachelor, Masters and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Denver. Following this, Howard went to the University of Connecticut, where he spent 32 years teaching and doing research. Dr. Hayden is editor of The Energy Advocate, a monthly newsletter promoting energy and technology, which has been running for 26 years. He is the author of, among other publications, the books listed below. Active links are included for all of these books.
Join Professor Hayden, Jay, and Tom in this week’s episode of The Other Side of the Story to learn how governments all over the world have had the wool pulled over their eyes by unscrupulous wind and solar hustlers.
