There is no longer any doubt that the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), Dr. Tony Fauci, lied repeatedly to Congress last May that NIAID has "unequivocally" never funded gain-of-function research at the Chinese Wuhan...
Reparations In Disguise
Biden’s racism is blatant now. It is what used to be called “reverse racism.” This new racism is against anyone with white skin. For example, the Biden American Rescue Plan explicitly discriminates against white farmers. In fact, it contains several Reparations In Disguise.
According to a June 12, 2021 report by Valerie Richardson, writing in The Washington Times:
The program, part of the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, earmarks about $4 billion for up to 120% in debt relief for “socially disadvantaged” farmers and ranchers as defined by their race, not losses sustained during the pandemic or specific claims of financial need.
According to the US Department of Agriculture website Farmers.gov:
The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Section 1005 includes provisions for USDA to pay up to 120% of loan balances, … to any Socially Disadvantaged producer who has a qualifying loan with FSA. This includes producers who are one or more of the following: Black/African American, American Indian, Alaskan Native, Hispanic/Latino, Asian American, or Pacific Islander.
Note the term “Socially Disadvantaged.” This has nothing to do with losses in your farming business. These are categories invented by the progressive Marxists now running the Federal Government. If you are in one of their favored ethnic categories, your loan can be forgiven.
If you are wondering about the extra 20%, the USDA website explains that it is to cover tax liabilities, bank fees, and other costs associated with getting the original loan.
Demographic designation, anyone?
And, if you want help proving you are one of the “Socially Disadvantaged” ethnic groups, step up, folks. The USDA will help you determine your race and ethnicity, with the handy-dandy USDA Form AD-2047:
If you’re uncertain of your demographic designation [emphasis added] on file at FSA, you can contact your local service center to verify your classification on record. If an update or correction is needed, you may either fill out USDA Form AD-2047 or work with your local service center to update your record, including race and ethnicity.
This amounts to Marxist give-aways and bribes to groups based on ethnicity. Since the classic Marxist “class warfare” strategy did not work in upwardly mobile America, Marxists have substituted “race and ethnicity” for economic class. After all, Oprah is a billionaire and she started with nothing, so we can’t say there is a permanent economic underclass or proletariat.
These racial give-aways are “reparations” by another name. “Hey Mr. & Ms. Ethnic,” say the Marxists now in power, “if you keep voting Democrat, we will keep giving you money and free stuff. You’ll get your reparations. We just call it ‘racial equity’ and other code names.”
When you download the USDA Form AD-2047, you merely place a check or an X in the box with your race and ethnicity. It’s easy. Paging Senator Elizabeth Warren! Senator Warren, besides your lucrative teaching job at Harvard (gained via your claim of disadvantaged Native-American heritage), you can now get a USDA loan to buy a farm and then have your debt forgiven. Sweet.
The Biden Administration does not need to pass a bill with the R-word – reparations. They are already giving out reparation money as fast as they can. Hidden in the American Rescue Plan are several race-based give-aways.
A temporary restraining order by The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals contained this statement, according to The Daily Wire:
“This case is about whether the government can allocate limited coronavirus relief funds based on the race and sex of the applicants. We hold that it cannot,” the court wrote.
The USDA is still taking applications for loan forgiveness and will resume this racist policy as soon as the temporary restraining order expires. They are simply waiting to begin again.
Reparations in Disguise?
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, social justice organizations such as Policy Link are influencing local governments with their unofficial “guideline” documents such as, “10 Priorities for Advancing Racial Equity Through the American Rescue Plan. A Guide for City and County Policymakers.” Priority Number One: Explicitly name racial equity as a goal, with specific targets to produce results at scale.
In other words, don’t distribute COVID relief money impartially, funnel the money to certain groups to build up racial “equity.” You don’t have a business hit by COVID? But you are a minority? Bingo! You get the money. Another reparation payment disguised as Covid relief.
Be suspicious of every “Relief” program coming out of the Biden Administration until you read the fine print. Many are bills we should get RID of Reparations In Disguise.
