We used to value our independence in America. It was valued to be considered ruggedly independent, and a sign of failure to require the charity of others. While I do not think getting help when needed should be stigmatized, it appears America has swung way too far towards dependence rather than independence.

When the 56 men signed the Declaration of Independence, they pledged to each other and the cause of freedom, their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. Today, I want to look at how the American people can regain control of their lives, their position as citizens, and control of their rights.
