I want to know the connection between the ‘Lincoln Project’ (LP), an assemblage of disgruntled Republican elite “Never Trumpers” and the Chinese Communist Party. The alleged goal of the Lincoln Project, is to see that Donald Trump is not re-elected to a second term.
The anti-Trump plotters in the Lincoln Project are attempting to create an unfavorable comparison between Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower and President Donald Trump on the issue of taking personal responsibility for their failures. Using Ike’s example, he had written a pre D-Day invasion letter personally accepting responsibility if the invasion failed.
On Trump’s side, the Lincoln Project claims that Trump refuses to accept responsibility for the China Virus pandemic that swept the United States, not to mention the rest of the world, when it was the Chinese Communist Party that took full advantage of a crisis in their labs to infect the world. That’s their current schtick and it only aids to confirm China’s propaganda denying responsibility for it!
The title of this essay comes from the LP’s anti-Trump manifesto: “Everything Trump Touches Dies” and the forthcoming “Running Against the Devil: A Plot to Save America From Trump and Democrats From Themselves,”
It forms the basis of their campaign to elect anybody but Trump.
The Lincoln Project Republicans have a manifesto from which it is easier to quote than paraphrase, ie: “Trump and his fellow travelers daily undermine the proposition we as a people have a responsibility and an obligation to continually bend the arc of history toward justice. They mock our belief in America as something more meaningful than lines on a map.”
Of course they say nothing about the incursion of Islam in the American body politic, or the Marxist inspired violence on American streets today because Trump isn’t one of ’em and he won’t bend his principles to the governing conformity of corrupt Deep State bureaucracy.
Continuing the Projects nonsense, they write: “Patriotism and the survival of our nation in the face of the crimes, corruption and corrosive nature of Donald Trump are a higher calling than mere politics. As Americans, we must stem the damage he and his followers are doing to the rule of law, the Constitution and the American character.”
Apparently, they choose to ignore the disastrous unconstitutional criminality of Obama and his followers, laying every failure Trump inherited on his own shoulders.
To their total surprise, Trump bears the burden and it confounds them with his unorthodox methodology of positive leadership.
“That’s why we are announcing the Lincoln Project, an effort to highlight our country’s story and values, and its people’s sacrifices and obligations. This effort transcends partisanship and is dedicated to nothing less than preservation of the principles that so many have fought for, on battlefields far from home and within their own communities.”
Advancing our country’s story, if the Lincoln Republican’s have their way, means rewriting history or ignoring it to fit their agenda.
Here is the Lincoln Project Republican challenge:
“Over these next 11 months, our efforts will be dedicated to defeating President Trump and Trumpism at the ballot box and to elect those patriots (they mean Democrats) who will hold the line. We do not undertake this task lightly, nor from ideological preference. We have been, and remain, broadly conservative (or classically liberal) in our politics and outlooks. Our many policy differences with national Democrats remain, but our shared fidelity to the Constitution dictates a common effort.”
“The 2020 general election, by every indication, will be about persuasion, with turnout expected to be at record highs. Our efforts are aimed at persuading enough disaffected conservatives, Republicans and Republican-leaning independents in swing states and districts to help ensure a victory in the Electoral College and majorities that don’t enable and abet Trump’s violations of the constitution; even if that means Democrat control of the Senate and expansion of the Democratic majority in the House.“
I think that’s pure heresy!
Remember, freedom is the goal, the Constitution is the way. Now, go get ’em!
