SCOTUS has had quite a term. With significant decisions being released at the end of June, there has been plenty to read, review, and talk about. The first major decisions I covered were Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, where the court overturned its previous decisions in Roe v. Wade. and Planned Parenthood v. Casey. And without too much surprise, contrary to Senator Schumer’s words, it is the pro-abortion supports that have released the whirlwind.
Just as with Roe, many thought the Dobbs decision would end the abortion debate. They were wrong in 1973, and they are wrong today. It appears those who promote abortion have taken their queue from an old lawyer’s trick. When the law is on your side, pound the law. When the facts are on your side, pound the fact. When neither is on your side, pound the table. So today, I want to start with a look at the Dobbs v. Jackson opinion, then take a look at the table pounding that’s been going on.
