Joe Biden’s Very Bad Week | The many facial expressions and awkward grins White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki deliver at the media press events do little to hide the level of defeat the administration is feeling. Biden’s poll numbers reflect an administration that cannot corral the support from within their own party,⏤let alone the enthusiasm and support of the American people. The Biden administration is in damage control mode.
When a week of policy defeats and court losses pile up with the magnitude that this previous week delivered, an administration must step back and reevaluate, before they attempt to pivot back to the center. That would be an arduous event, however, given that the Democrat Party is mainly being controlled by the Bernie Sanders, squad, far-left radical part of the Democrat Party. And to remind you, this is all happening in real-time during a crucial midterm election year.
The Biden administration appears to have overplayed their hand with Build Back Better.
The Democrat hopes of getting legislation through were quashed when Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Arizona), and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-West Virginia) reiterated their refusal to change Senate rules so that the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and the Freedom to Vote Act could pass. As is typical with how the Democrat Party operates, when they couldn’t get the votes to win, they go to their playbook to change the rules. This time Democrat leaders were met with a firewall of resistance. Both Senators would not support any changes to the filibuster.
1 This ruling is only a stay of the rule. Sadly, the case now returns to the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals and is not completely defeated, although it does give us the opportunity to see which businesses believe they own their employees, and which believe in freedom.
2 The arguments held before SCOTUS on January 7, 2022, did not challenge any of the fraudulent data attempting to justify the necessity for mandates. This was a major failing of the attorneys representing freedom and something that must change immediately.
3 Our fellow Americans who work in hospitals can still be mandated to take the experimental shots or lose their livelihoods. Inexplicably, two of the Supreme Court Justices who ruled in favor of the stay on OSHA, did not apply the same rationale to hospitals with more than 100 employees. I guess that businesses who take Medicare/Medicaid money from the government get to view their employees as slaves and tell them what to do with their bodies.
