On February 25, 2020, in Charleston, South Carolina, Democrat Presidential Candidate Joe Biden made the following promise during a televised Presidential primary debate.

“I’m committed that if I’m elected President and have an opportunity to appoint someone to the Court, I’ll appoint the first black woman to the Court. It’s required they have representation now; it’s long overdue.”

This promise was not Joe Biden’s idea. Instead, it was a quid pro quo deal suggested by the Democrat Majority Whip, South Carolina Democrat Representative James Clyburn. Mr. Clyburn promised Joe Biden his endorsement and continued Presidential campaign support if, and only if, Mr. Biden publicly promised that if elected President, Mr. Biden would appoint the first female, black Justice to the Supreme Court.

As Mr. Clyburn sat in the audience during the February 25 debate, he grew concerned that Joe Biden was running out of debate time to make his agreed-upon declaration to appoint a black, female Justice. Spurred to action, Mr. Clyburn left his seat and raced backstage to prompt Joe Biden’s handlers to remind him, “no announcement, no endorsement.”

Shortly after a backstage poke, Joe Biden announced his promise. The following day, James Clyburn endorsed Joe Biden, and on February 29, 2020, Joe Biden won the South Carolina Primary, with 49% of the vote compared to Bernie Sanders’ 20%. The rest is history. That is until Associate Justice Stephen Breyer resigned from the Court effective at the end of the Court’s current 2022 session.

Now, President Joe Biden has to fulfill his part of the quid pro quo. There’s only one problem. Automatically appointing a black female to the Court is an open act of racial and sexual discrimination by ruling out everyone except black females. Such an appointment is supposed to remedy discrimination, not create more of it.

No political party has done more to pit Americans against each other along the lines of alleged racism and sexism than Democrats. And here, their standard-bearer is promoting flagrant discrimination as if it’s okay when Progressive Democrats practice it because their reasons are somehow self-evidently ethical, moral, and in the best interests of the oppressed.

This is a tale of inherent evil and betrayal by Joe Biden, who entered into an unethical quid pro quo with another political operative, Rep. James Clyburn, in a desperate attempt to resuscitate Biden’s flagging Presidential candidacy. It’s a story of a shameful promise to disregard the nation’s civil rights laws to pay off a scandalous political promise that should have never been made in the first place. So how does such a blatant high crime not qualify Mr. Biden for impeachment?
