As a woman who is self-made; a woman who has held a job since age 15, put herself through college, put herself through a police academy, served the public, started and maintained successful businesses, employed others, is a mother, a wife, a sister and friend to many women…

I have never been more embarrassed of women that purport to be leaders than watching the white clad women of Congress at the State of the Union address given by President Trump.

Many of these women are just entering Congress, still wet behind the ears, needing a signal from Nancy Pelosi as to when they should stand or applaud and when to stay seated. Women who are elected to represent all of the people of their districts, but who clearly choose to represent only some. Women who want to be in solidarity with each other in standing not for the people, but against the President. Ladies, your angry frowning faces were not becoming. Do you think that is what we, the women of America want from you?  You are so wrong.

To the women in white I say this — The President surely laid out accomplishments, but he did not gloat over them. He laid them out as successes for all Americans. You all sat and glowered when President Trump spoke of the unprecedented employment rates for blacks and minorities. You didn’t know what to do when he spoke of the largest number of women working in decades; sit, stand, clap, smile, frown?

You could not celebrate the Jewish guests who had been through so much in their lives, or show respect for the reduction in the ranks of ISIS, or show support for the push for freedom from oppression for the people of Venezuela, or the fact that we are, for the first time exporting vast amounts of energy, and that we are self-sufficient in energy production. I must assume that you ladies in white would prefer the opposite of those accomplishments.

Worse, ladies, is that you do not support the people of America against the illegals pouring over our border in defiance of our laws. Laws that you each swore to uphold. It didn’t take long to break your promises to us. You do not support Americans against the opioids, the methamphetamines and the fentanyl killing our children, our sisters and brothers, parents and friends.

President Trump spoke of 4000 Americans murdered by illegals, and about the Angel families left behind in pain and anguish, and you all sat in your misplaced self-righteousness. He spoke of the walls you all enjoy, while you leave America unguarded and Americans at risk, and you scoffed in your matching white ensembles.

I would have hoped that instead of starting your Congressional journeys with rebelliousness and resistance, you would have begun with a studied and measured attitude, to learn facts from experts in the know rather than political hacks, and make opinions and decisions based on real information and in the best interest of American citizens, over political partisanship. I would have hoped that you would study history that clearly reveals that socialism works nowhere in the world and has indeed been oppressive and devastates the lives of people creating a servitude of humanity.

But for me, ladies in white, the thing that I am most ashamed of each and every one of you for is prefaced here by the remarks of Lois Frankel as explained to Refinery29 this week.

“Now that we’re the majority, we feel like women put us there: they organized, they voted for us, they marched, and so forth. When the president looks out at us, we wanted him to see a wave of white that really represents our message — not just to him, but to the nation and the world — that we’re here as part of the Democrats [and] The People’s Agenda; that we must promote policies that will allow girls and women to fulfill their full-potential.”

How very sad that you all sat as the President talked of saving babies from infanticide, and about the sanctity of all life. Have you ever held a newborn human being in your arms? As a mother, I could not imagine aborting a viable child, much less killing that child if born. That child, male or female, will never have an opportunity to fulfill any potential much less a full potential in life.

How very sad and hypocritical of every one of you who sat when the President spoke of the young girls and women being sex trafficked over our open borders and expressed the need to build that wall to help stop this life altering, devastating crime. I am ashamed for you all. Ask that 11 year old girl being raped 30 times a day how your policies are helping her fulfill her potential. You sit there in your pure white expensive outfits, with your angry faces, while little children live in filth and degradation and pain every single day because you women who want to make a point to the President refuse to educate yourselves to facts that are in evidence. You would rather cover your eyes and ears and turn your head from children, mostly female children, to get a win over the President. Shame on you all. You do not represent American values, American women, or any children of the world.

I do not stand in solidarity with you women in white of Congress. I hope American women do not either. I don’t admire your frowning, unhappy expressions. I want to see openness and willingness to work together with men, with Democrats, with Republicans, with all races and religions to protect America, and Americans, and our values, and mostly especially children.

Shame on each and every person who sat and scowled at a President who is clearly trying to do right by Americans. But, shame to the women in white most of all. Women have a unique ability to bring reason to discord, and calm to chaos, and are the fiercest protectors of our greatest resource, our children. Yet the women in white have chosen to ignore those traits and become the same old political obstructionists, bent on their own agenda rather than the agenda of the Americans who placed their faith in them to protect Americans first, to preserve American values, and to take the time and responsibility to learn what the truths actually are, not just political rhetoric.

We all deserve more from you. Those children being raped and beaten as I write this deserve more from you, the nurturers of the world. Look back at the replays of the ladies in white. It was not a proud moment for you and you represented nothing to me but the hate in your faces, and more obstruction, while little girls who have no opportunity to fulfill their potential suffer every day at the hands of human traffickers, as you all look the other way. As women, you can do so much to build the bridges, calm the heaving waves, and truly make a difference in the lives of Americans by sealing the border  and protecting the children, reducing drug crime and addiction and death, and taking pressure off the pocketbooks of Americans. Ignorance is not the answer, and being clones of each other will not move us forward. Learn about the border problems and make a decision that will allow children being trafficked to have that chance to live to their God given potential instead of their pimp’s version of their potential.

What you did was not cute, nor uplifting, but trite and disrespectful. I hope each of you chooses to grow and learn and develop an agenda that is truly meaningful and offers lasting hope to Americans, to children, to families, and to our work force.
