Now that the pandemic is winding down and we have lost yet another chance to think outside of the big pharma box to solve our healthcare problems, let us have a frank discussion about the power of simple, yet very effective hygiene. Throughout human history, there has never been a pandemic that was solved by a vaccine, or a pharma intervention of any type.

In the past century, vaccines have helped us to reduce the incidence of a few diseases…but that number pales in comparison to the number of epidemics/pandemics that have been solved by hygiene and sanitation measures throughout human history. Why is it that our public health officials today, rather than learn from history, decided to throw all their eggs into a basket that was expensive, unproven, and one they knew would be incredibly controversial and divisive…let alone Pandora’s box of side effects that comes with new, untested gene therapy drugs.

In early 2020 when everything went sideways, we had a few physicians that were treating COVID patients reach out to us and tell us that they had great results with their patients using nasal hygiene products that have been on the market and safely used for decades. We understood that xylitol blocks a number of bacterial pathogens in the nose, but we had never even thought to look at how it affects viruses. In early 2020 we started researching what our nasal spray, Xlear, did to the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

1 – March of 2020, the New England Journal of Medicine had an article that told us that 90% of the viral load of SARS-CoV-2 is in the nose, the upper airway. If 90% is in the nose, doesn’t it make sense to wash it out?

2 – April 14, 2020, we received a report from the Utah State University Antiviral research lab that showed that our nasal spray deactivated the virus within minutes.

3 – We submitted the above study to the “Coronawatch” gov website… that a nasal spray that has been on the market for decades could effectively help reduce the viral load of SARS-CoV-2 in the upper airway.

4 – In early June 2020, there was an article submitted to JAMA, published in the July issue; physicians pointed out that anything we could do to lower the viral load in the upper airway would lessen the severity of symptoms and reduce the spread of the disease.

5 – In mid-2020, a study done at the University of Tennessee showed that xylitol blocked the adhesion of the SARS-CoV-2 virus to tissue. So now we have a nasal spray that contains components that both block and deactivate the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

6 – In mid-2020, we did a pilot study with four individuals that had COVID; they all had comorbidities. Within a few days, they all tested negative, and the symptoms were gone.

7 – In late 2020, a study that was done at Vanderbilt University showed that people with COVID, by simply washing their noses ⏤ they all recovered. From the day they started washing their nose, their symptoms started to abate.

8 – In the fall of 2020, we had an article that showed what the method of action was, and how and why xylitol worked to block viral adhesion.

9 – Late 2020, the three letter agencies in our government sent Xlear, Nielmed, Navage, and other companies warning letters telling us not to share these studies. Nielmed and Navage stopped sharing research, and other companies in the nasal hygiene business shut their doors as they didn’t want to fight the government.

10 – Early 2021, we had electron microscopy pictures taken that showed that xylitol was blocking the ability of the SARS-CoV-2 virus from entering the tissue.

11 – Early 2021 comprehensive literature review of intranasal therapy showed that many different nasal sprays containing things from xylitol, iota-carrageenan, baby shampoo, Chlorpheniramine, iodine, etc., all showed benefits for people with COVID.

12 – During the Delta wave of the pandemic, in India…there was a study done with about 600 healthcare workers that were working with COVID patients…using a xylitol nasal spray…they saw a 64% reduction in the incidence of COVID.

All of these studies can be found here www.xlear.com/science.

The inability of the healthcare establishment to grasp the idea that washing the upper airway, the actual site of infection, could be of value, has caused this pandemic to drag on. Our public health officials have to this day, not acknowledged to the American public something that the CDC’s website has been saying for years…the best way to treat a respiratory coronavirus infection is by nasal hygiene. Remember that a large percentage of colds are caused by coronaviruses.

Rather than open a discussion with the American people about better hygiene practices, the government sued Xlear for what they said were claims that were not based on science. We shared the science with the government every step of the way. When they ignored it, we put it out to them in press releases so we knew they could see it. Even in the lawsuit, they filed, they don’t dispute the published research; they just say they don’t like it, and it’s not enough.

Studies done with hundreds of people for a product that has safely been on the market for decades aren’t enough, but studies done with a couple of mice and a new gene therapy drug with a myriad of side effects are enough? Faceless bureaucrats working at these agencies are destroying America; by suppressing research, they have caused the deaths of millions.

How many lives could have been saved if our public health officials and our media had been open to the discussion about non-pharmaceutical interventions like nasal hygiene…easily in the millions. This pandemic should have been over in early 2020. Most of the time, I refer to this ongoing issue as a “Pandumbic.” We had a pandemic, but since about May of 2020, it has purely been a pandumbic of our own making.

While COVID is now becoming endemic, and people believe that it is something that we just have to live with…it really isn’t. The nose is the #1 site of infection; the mouth is #2; simple lessons in oral/nasal hygiene could have helped end this madness years ago…and a variety of other epidemics that have been ongoing for decades. Tooth decay, childhood ear infections, and chronic sinus issues of almost all types. As the medical literature points out over and over…most chronic respiratory issues involve a biofilm in the upper airway…xylitol breaks up those biofilms.

Moving forward, we need our public health officials to get off the big pharma bandwagon…big pharma doesn’t need their help. Public health should focus on motivating people to exercise more, eat better, and practice better oral/nasal hygiene. With the amount of money, they are spending on promoting these vaccines and all things COVID; I think it would be much better for them to actually discuss things that have an impact on a wide variety of illnesses.

  • Nathan Jones

Nathan Jones, Founder, President, founded Xlear, Inc. in 2000 to improve lives promoting proactive health and oral and nasal hygiene as a tool for healthier lives. With over 22yrs now in the hygiene space, focused on nasal and dental care, Mr. Jones is one of the leading experts in this arena. He is also globally regarded as an expert on the use of xylitol and other non-hexose sugars to help promote health. Under his leadership, Xlear has invested millions of dollars into research on oral and nasal hygiene, in particular the use xylitol, erythritol, and other non-hexose sugars to improve health. Among this Xlear-funded research are studies finding these sugars can block both bacterial and viral adhesion in the nose and upper airway with no adverse effects—research that Xlear hopes will open a new path to respiratory disease prevention and treatment. Mr. Jones is also one of the leading advocates for the development of “beyond-vaccine” treatments and prophylaxis for COVID-19. As a result of his critiques of US Government COVID-19 policies that focus solely on “Big Pharma” vaccines, The Federal Trade Commission has sued Mr. Jones and Xlear seeking to censor the science, studies published in peer reviewed journals, supporting hygiene as an effective and proven tool in pandemic (COVID-19) response. Mr. Jones is focused on using this lawsuit to educate Americans about the science.

So I simply could have sprayed a nasal disinfectant up my nose, and I likely would have prevented myself
From getting COVID. But instead I contracted COVID and Died 7 times in the Hospital with tubes sticking
Out of every hole in my body, and some places without holes too. 110 days of torture, and a pharmacy of
Drugs running through my body. Destroying my kidneys, my heart, my brain. Just because big pharma
Wanted to cash in on my life. I Lived because I fought back with all my might ! The Love of Life and my wife
Was stronger than there attempted murder . I’m buying Bottles of your spray to give out to my family.
I personally want to thank you for making it 100 % clear to me, the real source of the problem.

One no longer needs to question why Utah has had the lowest COVID death totals in the country.

Probably because you ate it. Might not have the same effect in your nasal passages?

Is there a danger in using erythritol with Stevia? Is this recent article/study flawed?
