Starbucks is the latest corporation to become a victim of its wokeness. No longer will the coffee giant allow anyone to come in and use its lavatory facilities or sit down and relax if you aren’t patronizing the establishment. Why? Well, Former President Donald Trump said it best. When “you go woke, you go broke.” And that is what Howard Schultz, the company CEO, is realizing. While the Seattle-based coffee chain hasn’t exactly gone broke, it could be only a matter of time, for they are looking to start closing stores around the country that have seen an increase in crime.
Schultz recently gave an interviewed and acknowledged that the company’s policy to allow anyone to use its facilities was a mistake. He also called out the woke progressive policies of the left that are destroying the country. This is a huge turnaround considering Starbucks was one of the first companies to jump on the woke wagon, hoping to bring about diversity and equity.
Sad to say, Starbucks won’t be the only company to face this dilemma. Others like Netflix and Disney will not be far behind in realizing their wokeness is destroying their company’s profits. Not that far behind corporations are government institutions like the military and law enforcement agencies seeing a hit when it comes to recruitment because of their wokeness. One can only hope that these institutions and others wake up and “taste the political coffee” before it’s too late.
