One of the grievances our Founding Fathers listed in our Declaration of Independence was that the “[King] has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation.” Today the federal government is doing exactly the same thing. From their elevation of the United Nations to subjecting us to the will of foreign nations, the federal government has spent decades subjecting us to jurisdictions foreign to our Constitution. Today, I want to look at some recent examples of these assents to pretended legislation, both foreign and domestic.
