There have been a record number of mass shootings in the United States so far this year. For the most part, the shootings involved mentally disturbed individuals. With that knowledge, why is there never a rush to remove the mentally ill from society?
Instead, there is a rush by the Democrats and liberal media to take away our 2nd Amendment right to bear arms because of gun violence.
Never is there a push to remove knives or cars, that, on average, kill more people than guns!
We never see outrage from protesters against knives or cars or the reckless crime sprees in America’s blue cities. Even politicians don’t campaign on removing knives or cars.
The Second Amendment of the United States Constitution says: “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
There is no other way to interpret the right to give citizens the right to possess guns. There is no in-between. And while there have been laws created to restrict individuals from getting a gun. The right to own a gun couldn’t be any more clear in the Constitution. So it begs the question of what is behind the Democrats’ push to confiscate guns.
Why do they blame guns for the violence they have created in a society with their lack of laws? Why not focus on the real issue, which is mental illness, and enforcing the laws that are already on the books?
The answer is clear, and it isn’t about guns. It is about power, and it’s about control. Removing guns is merely the vehicle for them to use to control us in society. They want to control everything Americans do without resistance. If they can control the guns by removing the guns, they will be able to control the people as they see fit and with impunity.
Americans should not now or ever concede to the right to bear arms.
