Teen Transgenders – It’s Time We Talked
American teenage girls, especially adolescent, pre-pubescent and pubescent girls, are in the throes of a psycho-pathology called Gender Dysphoria.
More alarming, an increasing number of our adolescent girls are looking to change their genders through the use of chemicals and surgeries in hopes of relieving their psychosomatic suffering resulting from their self-diagnosed Gender Dysphoria.
But this exploding issue among adolescent girls isn’t just an issue among our American teen girls!
This alarming trend of Teenage Adolescent Gender Dysphoria is on a rampage throughout the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Finland, Scandinavia, and a host of other Western Nations.
There are two problematic facts about this explosion of female adolescent Gender Dysphoria and the demand for gender transition.
First, before 2012, Gender Dysphoria was practically an exclusive male psycho-pathology affecting boys between the ages of 2 and 4 years.
Around 0.01 percent or 1 in 10,000 boys aged 2 to 4 years enter into some gender confusion.
We know that approximately Eighty-percent of these young boys grow out of their early “gender confusion” and go on to live lives as male-gendered young adults.
Secondly, few reports of girls between the ages of 2 and 4 years of age have ever displayed gender dysphoria.
For young girls, somewhere between 1 in 30,000 find themselves with the same problem.
As you can see, until very recently, gender dysphoria, formerly known as “Gender Identity Disorder,” has been an infrequent event, especially among teenage girls; in fact, it’s been almost unheard of.
Since 2012, the number of teen girls complaining they feel they’re boys trapped in girl bodies has ballooned by nearly 5,000 percent. Yes, In approximately nine years, reported cases of Gender Dysphoria among adolescent girls are up by nearly 5,000 percent!
Recent reports note that between 2016 and 2017, the number of gender-affirming surgeries like mastectomies and hysterectomies among adolescent and young adult females in the U.S. quadrupled.
In the United Kingdom, the reported Gender Dysphoria for teenage girls is up 4,400 percent over the previous decade.
So, what is “Gender Dysphoria?”
“Gender Dysphoria” is a type of psychopathological distress. It arises when a person senses a mismatch, incongruence, or misalignment between their current gender identity and birth-assigned gender. In short, Gender Dysphoria is your mind telling you that somehow, your genes got cross-wired and put the real you in the wrong biologic sex.
In the case of high school girls, it’s when they mysteriously come to believe they’re boys trapped in girl’s bodies. But somehow, their minds waited until they were about to enter puberty, or it waited until they were mid-stream into puberty before alarming them they were living a fraudulent gendered life. The rapidity of this condition has led health services researchers to call this apparent social contagion “Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria (ROGD).
So, how is this happening? We know a person’s genetics isn’t driving this. Or at least our evolutionary biology tells us this. Why? Because gender is a cultural construct, not a biological one.
In 2020, Abigale Shrier published a ground-breaking book entitled “Irreversible Damage, The Transgender Craze Seducing Our Daughters.”
Her book methodically investigates this social phenomenon. She’s concerned that adolescent girls, who self-identify as Transgender, are now placed on a pathway of medical treatment, starting with hormone-blockers. Then, they inevitably transition to cross-sex hormones regimens like testosterone and even surgery with irreversible consequences. What follows is lifelong infertility and the possibility of devastating personal regret. Moreover, many teens are seeking and receiving Transgender therapy and advice without parental consent. Too often, parents aren’t even aware this is happening to their daughter.
The frequency and rate at which this social contagion is moving are alarmingly fast. Regrettably, the radical progressive left, represented by the L.G.B.T.Q. gender community of activists, maliciously attack and censor anyone who raises questions or doubts the validity of what appears to be a craze. Propaganda assistance from legacy and social media aid these activists in obliterating anyone who attempts to bring this topic to the public square for an airing.
As far as progressives are concerned, if you believe you’re Transgender, then you’re Transgender. And being so is an indelible condition. To them, it’s like being gay. If you’re gay, it’s an immutable characteristic like race, and therefore Transgenders are due the same civil rights as other protected classes.
But there’s one massive problem. Hundreds of those who’ve gone the Transgender route are retracing their steps and “Detransitioning” with serious regrets they ever started the journey in the first place.
