Stranger things have happened throughout the Joe Biden Presidency, but this issue is new and strange, and I believe Joe Biden won’t survive its consequences to run again for the same office in 2024.
Yes, I’m referring to the Joe Biden classified document scandal. But I don’t think President Biden’s gross negligence in mishandling classified materials throughout his Senate and Vice Presidency will be his downfall. Instead, this string of criminal acts will open another window on his alleged influence-peddling during his interregnum between his Vice Presidency and his run for the 2020 presidential election.
There’s no doubt that the new GOP House will continue and broaden its investigation into the Biden family’s alleged foreign influence-peddling activities that date back perhaps to Joe Biden’s last two years as Barack Obama’s Vice-President.
For example, suppose the House investigation can demonstrate Joe Biden, his son, and Mr. Biden’s brothers Frank and Jim Biden, were involved in an elaborate scheme to sell federal influence to foreign individuals with connections to hostile foreign governments. In that case, the next step will be for the House to begin impeachment proceedings against the President.
Here’s how the classified documents scandal becomes highly relevant. First, we know that Mr. Biden’s private attorneys discovered the first set of classified documents on November 1, 2022. Supposedly, these lawyers serendipitously found these documents in a locked closet at Mr. Biden’s office in the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement. The attorneys were there to pack up Mr. Biden’s belongings since he no longer needed that office space.
The critical question, however, is why Mr. Biden sent his personal “attorneys” to pack up an office he hasn’t used in nearly two years. Why not employ a local moving company?
Here’s my theory:
First, on November 2, the President had every reason to believe the Republicans were about to win a massive victory in the midterm elections. Unquestionably, a dominant GOP House would investigate the Biden influence-peddling allegations. So the President sent his attorneys to the Penn Biden Center to comb through all the documents to ensure there were no documents about influence-peddling.
Second, perhaps more damaging, supposedly newly discovered emails on Hunter Biden’s laptop refer to classified documents on China and Ukraine that were used in the influence-peddling scheme and had no business being in Mr. Joe Biden’s possession.
In other words, the attorneys were there to find and recover these classified materials and return them to the National Archives before anyone was the wiser.
