Cruel and Unusual Punishment in America!

It’s a stain on America’s liberty. Patriots are being held like POWs in a third-world country in our Nation’s Capitol, Washington, DC. No due process. Solitary Confinement. The American people are being kept in the dark. The number of detainees, what they’re being charged for, and just about every metric surrounding this bizarre story are unknown, and the numbers you do hear in various media reports are all over the ballpark.

What we do understand is this… American patriots are being held in solitary confinement in 23-hour-a-day isolation. As we now approach the five-month mark, the prisoners are reported to be losing their savings and jobs as their lives are turned upside down. We understand that no one has been charged with insurrection, sedition, or any other serious offense to warrant this kind of treatment or condition. Another very telling detail to point out is this… how do you pull off a planned insurrection without any firearms? There were no firearms recovered at the Capitol from this event.

The Eighth Amendment of the United States Constitution prohibits the federal government from imposing excessive bail, excessive fines, or cruel and unusual punishments. Ask yourself this, would this qualify as cruel and unusual punishment if this was happening to you? How does this happen in America? Have these American citizens no rights? We will discuss the legal aspects of this case with a former prosecutor, Berny Jacques.

Berny Jacques is a Political Activist, a Gov. DeSantis Appointee, and a Former Prosecutor running for State Representative 66th district in the state of Florida. Find out more about Berny and his commitment to the truth here: www.BernyforFlorida.com.

As Look Ahead America, a non-partisan, non-profit organization created by Matt Braynard, reports, “Patriotic Americans became targets of the Biden Administration as the Department of Justice and the FBI have targeted, imprisoned, and persecuted non-violent American patriots. Months have passed, and our fellow citizens remain separated from their loved ones, isolated in solitary confinement, have been denied medical care, denied access to faith and worship services, and have faced financial ruin due to court costs and legal fees. This wrongful and unjust persecution must end.”

Public pressure is needed to bring awareness to this national travesty. The National Director of Look Ahead America, Caroline Craze, will explain the outreach and the planned protests happening in DC and across America. “We will be protesting at the prison where approximately fifty American political prisoners are being held, many of whom were non-violent protestors who have either not been charged or have not received the option for bail. This event is a peaceful demonstration of our First Amendment Rights,” Look Ahead America says.

Americans are wondering and asking… where is the pushback on this excessive treatment of American citizens? Where is the outrage from leaders on both sides of the political aisle? Leaders are starting to respond to the inhumane treatment; the question is, will more step up and demand answers?  Democratic leaders, Senator Elizabeth Warren and Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) have spoken about this case and the excessive treatment of solitary confinement. We will also discuss the letter sent to United States Attorney General Merrick Garland from five Republican Senators. Political and Economic Analyst Wallace Garneau is a two-service military veteran, an author, and a student of history, who has been studying and writing about economic and political policy for more than 24 years.
