How do you describe what you’ve never imagined, much less seen? How do you explain the unexplainable?
John gives us a vision of what God has planned for His people. It’s a world without the influence of evil. It’s a world where the nations will find healing and people will live in harmony in the presence of God.
It’s the place God is preparing for you.

I listened to most of this sermon, and for the most part it was good. As the one who sits on the throne of God, the Alpha and Omega, and one of His seven angels, describes the new Jerusalem city to John the revelator, one important is the fact that Revelation 21:8 fornicators (‘pornois’) and liars (‘pheudesi’) and unbelievers will be in the lake of fire, which is the second death. Repeated in Revelation 21:27 liars (‘pheudos’) ‘shall not be able to enter therein’ the new Jerusalem, and those that make abominable (‘bdelugma’), which by extension are homosexuals and transgenders. Revelation 22:15, ‘outside are the fornicators and liars’. Revelation 21 and 22 emphatically state, ‘lying is sin’. These scriptures mark the urgency and fearful end of all unrepentant sinners to obey the Christian message. By and large, there is no ‘fear’ of God in America, everyone does what is right in their own eyesight.
Psalms 115:11 —‘You who fear Jehovah, trust in Jehovah; He is their help”
Psalms 114:7 —– ‘Tremble you earth, at the presence of the Lord’
Matthew 10:28 –“Fear him that has the power to destroy both the body and soul in hell’
Many have debated in Church what this word Greek word ‘phobos’/fear means. Some say reverence of God. Others like me say, the words ‘destroy’ and ‘hell’ says physically fear God, but do not fear man. ‘Trust in God’ without the ‘fear of God’, is like form without its substance, like butter pecan ice cream without root beer soda water, its like Batman without Robin, its like the Lone Ranger without Tonto, something obviously is missing. The pastor’s ‘trusting God’ without ‘fearing God’, shows the need for an Exodus 19-21 Mt. Sinai mountain top experience. When he sees the mountain on fire like the children of old did, he will understand why we fear God, even until today. Kierkegaard probably knew, and stood ‘fearing and trembling’ before God, all his life long.
In a country full of misinformation and intentional disinformation, mostly by good non-Wesleyan Christians, there is no fear by many Christians that ‘liars’, tellers of half-truths, and other sinners will be outside of the walls of the new Jerusalem, and shall not inherit the Kingdom of God. Ananias and Sapphira’s ‘lying to God’, Acts 5:4 should be a warning to all men. Be not deceived, God will not be mocked. If people in America or any other country are ‘lying’ or telling half-truths regarding the origin of Covid-19 coronavirus, which has killed millions of people, and perpetuate those lies and half-truths without repenting, then they will not be able to enter the new Jerusalem, nor enter the Kingdom of God, but are fodder for the eternal lake of fire.
John says he saw a new Heaven, a new Earth, and the new Jerusalem. But no temple in the new Jerusalem, Revelation 21:22. But in Revelation 11:1, 19, John saw the temple of God in the Kingdom of God itself.
“And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in the temple ark of the testament……..”—Revelation 11:19
So there is a difference between the new Jerusalem that comes down to Earth without a temple, whereby God tabernacles with man, and the Kingdom of God itself, that contains the temple of God and the ark of the convenant, in Revelation 11. Still a new world order on Earth, a trans-cosmological event, after the battle of Armeggedon.
Revelation 21:14 says the names of the twelve apostles are written in the twelve foundations of the walls of the new Jerusalem. So the new Jerusalem has an apostolic foundation, not Muslim, not Buddah, nor any other religion. It’s a city with an apostolic foundation, not a Pauline foundation, unless Paul was one of the twelve apostles. Or, unless a thirteenth foundation has been added to the new Jerusalem, in Paul’s name. And the twelve gates of the new Jerusalem containing the names of the twelve tribes of Israel, just like the old Jerusalem gates, means that “the Lord is there”/’tabernacles’ among His people, Ezekiel 48:35, despite all of Israel’s misgivings.
