Ronald Reagan said we should “trust but verify.” Yet, it seems many Americans today are prepared to trust but cannot be bothered to verify if what they are being told is true. Using two of the biggest storylines in the news today, we need to look at the consequences we suffer when we don’t take the time to verify if what we are being told is true, or even makes sense. We’ve been told by government actors to get the vaccine and wear masks, but have you checked the data to see the effects of those actions? Have you taken the time to ask yourself, if the vaccines work, why do we need masks? And if the masks work, why do we need an emergency use vaccine? Most Americans will hand their children off to government-run schools, yet not take the time to see if they are getting a decent education. Reports of illiteracy, drug abuse, bullying, and more have not warranted the attention of most Americans. Now, as parents begin to see what their children were being taught these many years, some are starting to stand up. However, bureaucrats and government actors are working hard to suppress them. Are you ready to start verifying what you are being told yet?
