Tulsi Gabbard, a one-time Democrat Presidential candidate, and former Congresswoman, recently decided to leave the elitist party of Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. In an Instagram post, she said, “Democrats of today are hostile to people of faith and spirituality…they demonize the police and protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans.” She also cited the party’s inability to define what a woman is and their open borders policy.
“The Democrats of today believe in open borders and weaponizing the national security state to go after political opponents. Above all else, the Democrats of today are dragging us ever closer to nuclear war,” Gabbard said.
Gabbard leaving the party didn’t come as a surprise to the host of “After Dark.” They had long since seen this coming. They also feel that her decision was not made on a whim noting the constant rancor she has had with the Democrat party elite over its progressive social policies. What does come as a shock is that the former Hawaii Congresswoman called out her former party for having left the JFK values that the party once stood behind.
Now the question becomes, are there any other like-minded Democrats who will follow in her footsteps, or has the party been completely taken over by socialists?
