America is growing more geographically polarized — red ZIP codes are getting redder, and blue ZIP codes are becoming bluer. People appear to be sorting. People are sorting to be with like-minded people.
Over the past ten years, the talk about a red America and a blue America had been growing. COVID-19 mandates and restrictions forced Americans to look at their locales and local governments and their own quality of life. This has prompted the greatest shift in blue and red cities to become more attractive to the local politics.
