The fast and furious breakdown of the moral fiber of our society is seemingly unseen by a significant part of the population. This is something that has perplexed me since the onset of COVID. As a believer and a person who has a relationship with the Lord, I have no doubts that this is spiritual warfare.
The attacks from the enemy are coming from all sides. There are some of us that can see and feel them and have a good understanding of the enemy’s plan. Conversely, there are perhaps equally as many people who don’t even believe there is an enemy, let alone one who is working diligently to keep us in the dark.
I have yet to be able to find someone without a faith-based component to their life that will have a conversation with me about what their guiding principles on morality are and how they decide what is ultimately right and wrong. Where is the cut-off for behavior? Where is the line in the sand for how far something can go before it is considered intolerable or a detriment?
When is enough enough?
The saddest part about the spiritual battle that I feel we are in is that I don’t think it is isolated outside of the church. I saw many examples in the church I attended of the enemy gaining the upper hand. People fell for the tricks, and it ultimately provided the ultimate result, which is divided and pushing us further and further away from God.
There is a foundation on which societies are built, and here, we are a Nation Under God. Principles and teachings from the creator have shaped and guided so much of what we recognize as American. All of that is quickly disappearing, and the watering down of almost every aspect of our society rooted in faith is being replaced by unfathomable levels of depravity and immorality.
Religious or not, we all tend to work hard to lead a good life. Walk a noble and honorable path and do what’s right. Every day the lines of what is considered to be right are being blurred, and if we aren’t careful, there will no longer be any lines at all, and when that happens, the enemy wins.
