The Federal Camel Pokes His Nose Into Your School Board Meetings
The long nose of the Federal camel is now poking itself into your local school board meetings. The Progressive Democratic Socialists find ever more pretexts to extend Federal policing into matters that constitutionally belong to the states, cities, and county governments.
There is an old Arabian proverb: “If the camel once gets his nose in the tent, his body will soon follow.” If the Feds once get their nose into local governance, the entire federal bureaucracy will soon take over local affairs.
Latest case: Attorney General Merrick Garland called on the FBI to “use its authority” against parents who threaten or use violence against public school officials in a Monday memorandum.
It seems that some irate parents have gotten loud and abusive in some school board meetings. Why?
- Sometimes they found out that the schools had introduced pornographic materials into the curriculum, thus “grooming” pre-teens for underage sexual exploitation by adults.
- Sometimes they found out that schools were teaching Critical Race Theory. White children came home crying and upset, feeling guilty and ashamed about the color of their skin, over which they have no control.
- Sometimes parents found out that schools were teaching students to be political activists for the pet causes of the teachers.
- Sometimes parents found out that their students had their grades lowered when they said something or wrote something that was “politically incorrect” in the opinion of the teacher.
All of these things are legitimate topics for discussion and questions from parents to school board members. After all, the school board members are elected by and accountable to the parents, aren’t they? Or are they?
Local Crime = Local Enforcement
If some of these parents got loud, abusive, and threatening, it should be handled like any other situation with loud, abusive, and threatening people. Bartenders deal with this all the time. If the people won’t calm down, bartenders call the police. “Disorderly conduct” used to be the charge against a loud, abusive and threatening person. Local police respond and deal with the person or persons. It should be no different in a school board meeting.
Why Federalize School Board Meetings?
School Board members are elected by local citizens to oversee local schools. Schools are local and are to be controlled locally. So why are the Feds sticking their big nose under the school board tent?
Control. The Federal government wants to control what your children are taught. They have gone a long way toward accomplishing this with Federal Government money given to local school districts. “He who pays the piper calls the tune” is another proverb relevant to this situation.
This “free” money has strings attached. Since the Feds provide the money, they want to dictate what subjects should be taught and how they should be taught. Enter Critical Race Theory, 67 genders theory, pornography for pre-teens, democratic socialist political activism, and politically correct answers to classroom discussions and test questions.
According to Kendall Tietz, writing in The Daily Signal, “Garland’s statement follows a letter from the National School Boards Association that asked the federal government to get involved in the “immediate threat” of violence from parents faced by American public schools and its education officials. The National School Boards Association said the incidents could be “the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes.”
School Boards think they should make all the decisions about children’s schooling. School Boards think they know what’s best for children, not you ignorant parents. School Boards have been freed of the constraints of local funding decisions made by local parents voting for tax increases to fund schools. Big Sugar Federal Government can provide funds to make sure students are educated the way the Socialist Feds want, not the way their parents want.
So when parents increasingly turn out for school board meetings and say, “No! I don’t want my child educated in these ideas!” – the school board members are annoyed and affronted that these ignorant parents think they know what is best for their own children. The nerve of these parents! Who do they think they are?
When these parents get loud, the school board members don’t like it. Being loud is not a crime, and the local police probably would not arrest anyone for talking loudly. So what’s a poor victimized progressive socialist democrat school board to do? Call in the Feds!
So, school boards have appealed to the National School Boards Association to call loud parents “domestic terrorists” and demand that the Federal Bureau of Investigation – FBI – investigate loud parents as potential “domestic terrorists.” The FBI is not elected by local parents and is not controlled by local parents, so the Biden FBI is now preparing to do some terrorizing of their own.
Got a strong opinion on schooling? Water it down. Domestic Terrorists have strong opinions, you know. Gotten angry about pornography in school? Calm down. Domestic Terrorists act angry, you know. Talked in a loud voice to your school board against Critical Race Theory? Quiet down. Domestic Terrorists talk in loud voices, you know.
If you don’t cooperate, you could wind up in Guantanamo with other terrorists. Who do you think you are? Your child’s parent? Sit down and shut up. Big Daddy Biden is your child’s parent now. He and the other Feds decide. The Federal Camel’s nose got under the school tent the first time your school system accepted money from the Federal Department of Education instead of the local taxpayers.
What to Do?
Continue to attend School Board Meetings and speak your mind. Speak in a calm and forceful manner. Demand that objectionable material be removed from school curricula. Tell the School Board to stop accepting federal funding of any kind. Run for the school board yourself. Begin your own “Defund the Schools” campaign. Start your own Charter School, which is outside the authority of the School Board. Start your own Home-Schooling Coop with other concerned parents.
If you allow them to intimidate you into silence, they win. Parents do have the right to determine the content of their child’s schooling. Don’t let them tell you otherwise.
