We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately. These words from Benjamin Franklin warned the signers of the Declaration of Independence of the consequences of what they had done. If there did work together to protect each other, they would pay with their lives. While most of us aren’t risking being hung for our actions, Mr. Franklin’s advice is sound. If those of us who are willing to stand for liberty don’t stand together, those who want to take our liberty will pick us off one by one. The good news is that there are more and more reports of people standing up for their rights, and businesses and agencies backing off. The battle isn’t won, but we should take the good news when it comes around.
