A near death experience touches this police officer through the years; but writing helps him navigate the rough times. Police Lt. Mike Summers was trying to negotiate with a suicidal subject armed with a propane tank and lighter. The moment he thought the man was going to surrender–he blew himself up and Lt. Summers up.
Through the years, the pain and trauma never left Lt Summers until he found that writing fiction and non-fiction helped to alleviate the stress. Now two books later Lt Summers tells Blue Lives Radio Host Randy Sutton how he dealt with Post Traumatic Stress. In his ‘VIEW FROM THE BLUE” Randy rails against court decisions and laws are being used in ‘THE WAR ON COPS”.
