“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good; Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” KJV 2 Timothy 3: 1-7
Sam Jones, the senior pastor of Faith Baptist Church, returns to “After Dark” to discuss the recent Supreme Courts decision on abortion. While some churches straddle the fence on abortion and other secular culture issues, Pastor Jones calls them out. He suggests that individuals who find themselves in churches supporting abortion or secular ideas speak with their pastors. If they don’t get a resolution, he advises them to check out the website www.enemieswithinthechurch.com. The website is part of a movie designed to help Christians faced with new secular beliefs in churches. Jones says many pastors are looking at being popular and focused on membership ⏤ instead of standing behind the teachings of the Bible.
Sam Jones is a frequent conference speaker, speaking the truth of God’s word on the most pressing issues of the day. He was a contributor to the books Social Injustice and Church and State. He is a co-host of The Shining Light Podcast and has been quoted in several news outlets, including The Des Moines Register, USA Today, and The Iowa Standard. He is married to his wife Sarah; they have one son and reside in Hudson.
