How many people told us that everything would change if the Republicans took over Congress? Then we were told that, when the Republicans gaveled in the 118th Congress, they would make drastic changes. Well, now the Republican caucus has control of the House of Representatives, and there are some changes being proposed. But in the long run, do you trust your elected employees to make any real changes?
First, we had the fight over the speakership, and the promises to change how things are done. Then there’s some interesting legislation that will probably go nowhere. With the discovery that Biden had classified documents from his days as VP, do you really expect him to be treated the same way as they treated Donald Trump? And what would a look at things not changing be without looking at COVID-19, the disease that never seems to end?
