This election cycle will see many new candidates who don’t look or sound like the traditional Republican politician. Many of the candidates are regular hard-working conservatives tired of the career politicians who are out for themselves and not representing the people.
Ritesh Tandon is one of the many new faces of the GOP. He is running for Congress in California’s 17th District. Tandon said he is running for Congress to restore the power back to where it belongs ⏤ with the people. He said the left’s policies are very divisive and cause more division instead of unity among the people. He calls out Gov. Newsom and his policies on drugs, public safety, and environmental protection. All of Newsom’s policies, he said, are not good for California. Tandon, who came to America as a student, says the country is not the country he came to and loved. He said the country has changed and not for the good. He said he was always told that with hard work, you would go far. Unfortunately, many aren’t willing to work hard. Instead, they expect things to be given to them, like Joe Biden paying off student debt. He said this is a bad idea, and it does not instill work ethics.

Ritesh Tandon is running for Congressman in CA District 17, which includes Fremont, Milpitas, Alviso, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, and Cupertino. He is challenging Democrat incumbent, Ro Khanna, who is a supporter of socialist Bernie Sanders. Tandon immigrated to the United States as a student, and he did it the right way _ legally. The local businessman said, “My family instilled in me the value of hard work, service, and above all responsibility for ourselves, our community, and our future.”
As Congressman, he hopes to protect workers against race-based discrimination, create better healthcare, support the immigration community legally, help the homeless and mentally ill, and better public safety and security these are just a few of his top concerns. As a father of two wonderful children, Tandon is always seeking to make his community better for his family and others. Seeing a lack of representation of our values in Washington, D.C., he is seeking to serve the Bay Area in Congress, where he will fight for all of our communities and ensure the residents of the 17th Congressional District have a voice in Washington, D.C.
