You hear the phrase, “Courage is Contagious,” and it’s true, but so is fear. Courage isn’t always needed, but when people operate out of fear, they lose the ability to critically and rationally think.

Paul Myron Anthony Linebarger, an American author, US Army officer, and an expert in psychological warfare, defined propaganda as “Propaganda consists of the planned use of any form of public mass-produced communication design, to affect the minds and emotions of a given group, for a specific purpose, whether military, economic, or political.”

I knew right away when the government implemented unscientific measures: quarantining the sick with the healthy, shutting down non-essential surgeries, encouraging isolation and separation from family and friends, wearing a piece of cloth over your nose and mouth, 6-foot social distancing circles, and a 24/7 death toll ticker on the bottom banner of the nightly news, they aimed to control the population and I needed to remain on high alert. As with any propaganda messaging, it has an end goal, and in this case, it was a shot in every arm, marketed as a vaccine, for otherwise healthy Americans.

Propagandists bend the truth, but they don’t break it. Let’s take masks, for example. Masks have some efficacy against droplet precautions because these particles are much larger than an aerosol. In the case of a coronavirus, the experts knew they were aerosolized and only ventilation, circulation, and destruction technologies would stop it.

Still, the government bent the truth and made it seem as though the droplets excreted when someone talks, coughs, or sneezes were driving the infection rate. Or asymptomatic transmission, telling people they could be sick and not know it, which is extremely rare and has never been proven to drive any pandemic but was repeated over and over, “You could be sick and not know it, so put a mask over your face to protect your fellow man.”

These are examples of bending the truth, and millions of educated professionals who knew better, complied and encouraged others to fall into line with this belief. What shocked me was how well their messaging worked and whenever you tried to have a conversation with the facts, their response was always emotional: “It’s better than nothing.”

Which couldn’t have been further from the truth. I’m not trained in psychological warfare and never thought much about propaganda, but I do have street smarts and am an avid critical thinker. It’s almost impossible to get me to do something without understanding the reasons why first, and if it doesn’t make sense, I ask questions and research until it does.

Dr. Aaron Kheriaty was one of the few medical ethicists that took a stand over these public health violations and the basic ethical principles medical professionals take an oath to protect. Informed consent, “first do no harm,” autonomy, and justice were all, as he says it, “thrown out the hospital window,” and government policy and protocols were ushered in, causing devastating collateral damage as evidenced by the rise in mental health crises. The psychological damage will be seen and felt for generations.

The closing of schools, places of worship, addiction meetings, and business differentially harmed the young and working class, even though covid still spread despite it. When the vaccines came out, there was no disclaimer that the clinical trial did not include monitoring for transmission or infection, but rather for hospital and death, despite this group having a negligible risk of that happening anyway.

The media was complicit in this well-organized attack and took orders from on high to silence those with any dissenting opinion, no matter how much scientific evidence they had to back it up. It didn’t have to go down like that. I encourage everyone to heed the lessons of this book and to make sure the next time because there will be a next time that the biomedical security state doesn’t attempt to keep us safe from a virus when decades-long proven public health policy, choosing faith over fear and ethical principles would do much better.

Dr. Kheriaty’s Book is a must-read: The New Abnormal: The Rise of the Biomedical Security State
