Today’s America is far different from that which I grew up in the 1960s. Then we were a nation in a Cold War with the Soviet Union, the evil empire. At that time, the United States of America and our NATO allies were mostly in lock step in countering the Soviets’ tyranny, despotism, and continual efforts to expand their footprint and domination worldwide.

Americans practiced nuclear emergency drills, where we hid under a desk, and took a little iodine pill to impede the potential effects of a nuclear blast and fallout. Belief in God, Country, and the kindness of our fellow Americans was the norm.

Our freedoms were exercised fully across America ⏤ primarily free speech. The first amendment empowered the leaders of the civil rights movement to push back on the continued racism of the Democratic Party. The result of the power of the people exercising their first amendment rights in support of the Civil Rights movement was Congress passing The Civil Rights Act of 1964, prohibiting discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

Many people suffered despite their freedoms, as many opposed advancement of civil rights and prohibiting discrimination. People were murdered, abused by the justice system, and subjugated by dystopian policies that sought to roll back life to the time of slavery. What is lost in historical revisionism is that the law was pushed through by the Republican party, over objections of democrats, and was reluctantly signed by a racist President Johnson.

Concurrently, Americans at that time exercised their first amendment rights to advance a clarion call for freedom, human rights, liberty, and democracy to aid those being subjugated by communism. Americans understood the liberty our country stood for and exemplified, given the multiple sacrifices in two world wars. The greatest generation thrived – because they understood the power of ideas, the pen, and truth.

These elements were the essence of ensuring the resilience and security of America against the counter-narratives, utopian dreams, and dystopian tyrannical ideologies of communism. And so important at that time as a domestic Cognitive War1 was being waged domestically, aided by the Soviet communists, in the guise of an anti-Vietnam War movement and globally by Soviet expansion.

Americans went to church for healing and to God for guidance. They regularly reached out to help those less fortunate. Children were taught respect for their elders. Citizens were held accountable for their actions. And people didn’t look for government to take care of them; they did that themselves via hard work, and helping less fortunate neighbors. The family was the center unit in society.

Our free press, the fourth estate, mostly spoke truth to power and held our public servants to account. And President Kennedy noted to all Americans to “not ask what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” He understood the power of America, the light of democracy, relied on people exercising their freedoms and voice, and working in unity, sacrificing, to ensure the security of our Republic.

What has changed?

Today, we find God being replaced by government. Respect for our constitution, country, and freedoms was replaced with dystopian propaganda like critical race theory or the 1619 project. We find our children do not know how to socialize, and are inundated with filth, videos, and virtual reality vice lessons in real life. We find children no longer respect elders. The youngest are purposefully abused and sexualized by extremists pushing transgenderism and drag queen shows as being the norm.

We see respect for country and our laws, replaced and deleted via historical revisionism by those who despise our constitution and related freedoms. We see the kindness and unity of effort of our fellow Americans replaced by purposeful intimidation, a cancel culture, and indoctrination of our citizens and children who drive false narratives to demonize America, facts, and divide us.

We see civil rights abuses abound – not by citizens against other citizens, but mostly by our government against its citizens. This is occurring via the weaponization of our national security apparatus and the abuse of our justice system. We see police departments defunded while imposing policies that preclude them from protecting the public, while extremist progressive district attorneys forgo the law and use a revolving door to release hundreds of felons, arsonists, murderers, and other criminals upon their arrest, only to bring them back in, and send them out that same revolving door hours or days later.

We see political charlatans who call everything racist ⏤ to demean, attack, and drive wedges between Americans. And unfortunately, we also see our once free press, the once venerable 4th estate, now become a fifth column that enables the weaponization of national security,2 progressive propaganda, and outright lies against “we the people.”

We see our own president demean our country’s history and purposefully undermine our national security, economic security, and prior respect of world leaders for our nation, and concurrently destroy the social fabric and compact of our citizens that exemplified the melting pot called America.

It is as if the world has been flipped on its head, as America and the American dream are being undermined mostly from within. There is an internal insurgency of extremists who seek nothing more than absolute power and the subjugation of Americans via complacency, compliance, and ever-increasing dependency on Big Government.

The China Flu (Covid-19) pandemic brought much of their plans to the fore – as we saw dystopian lockdowns and purposeful lies about vaccines, indoctrination, and censoring first amendment rights, facts, and the truth via a cancel culture, intimidation, and abuse of authority by our “public servants.” Their purpose, of course, was and is to divide Americans, to pit us against one another, to remove God from country, and replace them both with government as the savior. All to undermine the resilience and security of America.

Today, we are seeing blind politicians exemplifying a level of cognitive dissonance that begs questioning whether they actually have a brain. The Russian invasion of Ukraine occurred because of the dystopian policies of this internal insurgency. This is not meant to say we should not support Ukraine’s fight – but we must do so with open eyes as to the strategic intent of our adversaries, China, Russia, and this internal insurgency.

The war is bleeding our own national security weapons stockpile dry, and our ability to borrow, given a $31 plus Trillion debt. Yet all we hear now are war drums from our DoD, the White House, and the useful idiots in Congress like Senator Lindsey Graham, who do not see the strategy being applied to weaken us across all fronts. The strategy of our adversaries is to bleed us of our weaponry, of our national treasure, in order to weaken and displace us as the world leader – and snuff out liberty. They are doing to us, what we did to the former Soviet Union – as they watched, learned, and now replay the film – with a new script written by tyranny.

We must look to the few levers of power we still have to fight back. The primary one is the power of the people, as 73% of Americans believe we are on the wrong track. We must support the new select committee to review the weaponization of national security, which is a replay of history and the Church Committee.3 Perhaps this time, we can finally overhaul and split up and overhaul the CIA and IC into the right pieces? And we must drive new grassroots efforts such as the…

Citizens Commission to Restore America! https://standupamericaus.org/ccra/.

We are headed to a tyrannical police state ⏤ one in which there is no longer accountability for the abuse of authority, the abuse of power, and where those public servants across America who were hired to protect, to serve, and keep the peace ⏤ are being taught it’s okay to abuse power ⏤ as there will be no consequences, or we’ll cover it up. And we are headed from a melting pot to a boiling pot!4

For all tyranny, needs are for us to do nothing. All freedom needs are for us to exercise our God-given rights, our Constitutional rights. Be forewarned, the thin gray line between tyranny and freedom is being stretched; it’s time to push back and ensure the resilience and security of our Republic!

It is time to get involved and get loud. Speak up. Act.

God Bless America!

1 I define the Cognitive War as primarily an ideological war, between tyranny and freedom, control and independence, subjugation, and democracy. It is a war fought primarily in the cognitive domain, using various means to influence (e.g., academic, economic, agriculture, social, etc.), but which can include irregular warfare and kinetics. It is a war that’s been ongoing for more than a millennium. It is timeless as mankind exists. The cognitive war is truly an existential threat that is global and domestic. In today’s U.S.A, few understand it, can defend against it, can compete in it, or win it. It can be won, but not if we are unwilling to change.

I define the Cognitive Domain as the domain of the human mind -ideas, ideology, function, reason, etc. The Cognitive Domain encompasses all other domains -the umbrella under which mankind operates, functions, learns, advances, or regresses. All other domains – Cyber, Air, Land, Sea, Subterranean, Space, Sub-surface -are all one operating domain, not separate. We, as humans, have mentally segmented these domains to operate and function in them. And as we learn, we add new operational and/or functional domains. Yet, the most important domain, the Cognitive Domain, remains an afterthought.

You had me until, “This is not meant to say we should not support Ukraine’s fight…”

Seriously? This isn’t “Ukraine’s fight”, it’s “ours”. The U.S. alone caused it with the intentional coup d’etat of 2014 — and the Ukranazi’s subsequent, incessant murder of the Donbass region’s Russian-ancestry citizens, all by ‘our’ puppet regime in Kiev. That, and oh, 30 or so bioweapon labs scattered about the country?

So spare us the, “We stand with Ukraine, Russia bad”, bulls#*! if you want to be taken seriously. Especially given that everything else you’ve said is spot-on, that crud really doesn’t belong…
