On December 1, 2021, the U.S. Supreme Court heard perhaps the most crucial anti-abortion case since Roe v. Wade in 1973.

The case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, pits the elected leadership of Mississippi against the state’s last abortion clinic. The state seeks to reverse the Court’s nearly half-century-old decision declaring women have a constitutional right to terminate a pregnancy as a matter of privacy. In other words, it’s no one’s business.

But, Mississippi has stepped forward, claiming the state has a vested interest in the life of the unborn. Therefore, the state wants to terminate elective abortion after 15 weeks of gestation. At this point, The child is fully formed, with a functioning heart and lungs, and reacts to stimuli like pain. Left alone, this so-called “fetus” will emerge a citizen of the United States and the State of Mississippi.

Heretofore, the Supreme Court has guaranteed a right to abortion any time before 24 weeks gestation claiming before this date, a fetus isn’t viable. Women still may seek a legal abortion beyond the 24-week viability line under defined qualifications such as whether the pregnancy threatens their life or health.

Neonatal Intensive Care physicians and nurses will tell you that even a 24-week birth remains a survival challenge. The truth is there’s no logic to an arbitrary “viability” line given a full-term baby can’t survive outside of the womb by themselves. Nor can a one-year-old. The point is that a 15-week cut-off deadline for elective abortion makes as much sense as a 24-week demarcation.

And if you believe life begins at conception, then the life of the person in utero has as much right to life as the mother, father, and anyone else petitioning to abort this fetal citizen.

Since 1973, America has aborted more than 62 million citizens. Moreover, we’re still aborting 820,000 Americans every year. As a Nation, we’ve fallen far below the annual number of births to replace our current population. In short, our population is fading away by our own hands!

After listening to “The Real Pandemic is Our Shrinking Population due to Abortion,I assure you you’ll think differently about whether we should continue on this cruel path! On The Frankly Daniel Show, I explore many facets we rarely consider when we think, much less talk about abortion in America.
